About this deal

Hinchliffe Stadium was a decayed relic of a time gone by in Paterson. In its day it was the scene of minor league baseball games, high school football, auto racing, and some important boxing matches. But it had fallen into terrible disrepair and wasn’t designated as a historical landmark until eight years after Kristen had breathed her last. Dachshund Through the Snow is this year's Christmas story from Roxanne St. Claire and the newest book in her Dogmothers series of books. I absolutely loved spending more time with Gramma Finnie, Yiayia, and Pru, and finding out more about Yiayia's past helped me to understand her better. But if there's one tradition we're especially excited for, it's choosing how we intend on counting down the days... Yep, advent calendars are a well-discussed subject here on the Delish team. And by well-discussed, we mean we're talking about the things as early as late summer (don't come for us).

DACHSHUND THROUGH THE SNOW is a heart-warming story of an aging woman’s search for redemption during the Christmas season. I am generally not one for Christmas stories, yet this one warmed my heart. I cannot wait to read more of the Dogmothers’ shenanigans. A tag on a Christmas charity wish tree leads attorney Andy Carpenter and his wife Laurie to a young boy wanting his father Noah Traynor to be brought home. The murder, for which Noah has been arrested, was a cold case until his DNA is identified on the victim's body. In the meantime, K-9 officer Sergeant Corey Douglas is about to retire, but his dog, Simon, still has time left to work. Corey wants Andy to help him get Simon released to retire with him. Andy agrees to represent Simon on the basis of species discrimination. It is the story of Agnes Santorini and the one thing on her Christmas list. She has dreamed about a brown short-haired dachshund. She is certain this pup can save her aging heart. She learns that a local man has one that matches the description of the one she dreams about. She and her partner in crime, Gramma Finnie, join forces and go with their current doxies to get their hands on this pooch. It might be 88 degrees outside on this sunny, June afternoon yet, in my opinion, there is never, ever a bad time for a really good Christmas story. And that is exactly what you’ll find in ‘Dachshund Through the Snow‘ which is the third story, a Christmas novella in ‘The Dogmothers‘ series. The most recent title (the fifth) in this series has recently released, and I need to get caught up on this series so this unique story full of Christmas love was the perfect way to spend a bit of time. While not a Christmas Romance in the strictest sense of the phrase, Yiayia’s story is overflowing with information we’ve been looking for about her change of heart and lifestyle – and is definitely a love story, the most beautiful kind where that love shines through on the people who need it the most.He is also involved in another trial. A policeman is retiring, but the Department insists his arthritic police dog must work another year regardless of the dog's physical condition. Andy sues the Police Department for species discrimination. Agnes Santorini is on a mission and she brings her best friend, Finnie and great granddaughter, Pru along with her on a hilarious “scavenger hunt” type running around on Christmas Eve. These three run into all kinds of obstacles on their journey around Bitter Bark to find that perfect dog that is just out of reach. Agnes has a secret she has kept for many years and when it comes to light there is healing and forgiveness. My childhood was relentlessly normal. The middle of three brothers, loving parents, a middle-class home in Paterson, New Jersey. We played sports, studied sporadically. laughed around the dinner table, and generally had a good time. By comparison, "Ozzie and Harriet's" clan seemed bizarre. I did manage to find the time to marry and have two children, both of whom are doing very well, and fortunately neither have inherited my eccentricities.

The cause of death was strangulation, and in addition to the killer’s leaving behind his DNA in the skin under Kristen’s nails, the same DNA was found on a piece of discarded gum and a half-consumed beer can near the body. In the intervening years no match had ever been made. The partial fingerprint on the beer can was not enough to yield a match. Happiness began with the news of a new andy Carpenter being released. A smile started when I received this new release in my hands. And then I began the latest Andy Carpenter book (on CD). Laurie has never come across a charity she doesn’t like. That’s fine with me because we are quite wealthy as a result of my inheritance and some lucrative cases I have handled as a criminal defense attorney. She keeps searching for new ways to share our good fortune, and she keeps finding them. The police immediately considered it an attempted sexual assault leading to the murder, since the victim’s clothes were partially torn. The obvious theory was that she had fought hard to protect herself and scratched her killer, since traces of skin were under her fingernails. Anyway, let's move onto why you're here in the first place — Marks & Spencer's advent calendar selection, and more specifically Marks & Spencer's 24 Biscuits 'Til Christmas Advent Calendar. When Simon, a K-9 companion needs representation, it’s Andy Carpenter to the rescue! When Simon’s handler decides to retire, he asks Andy to file a suit allowing Simon to retire early due to disability, instead of having Simon transferred to another handler for a year. Simon, you see has arthritis and bad hips - and if he were human, he would be granted early retirement but given the fact that he is a dog, he is not granted such accommodation. Seeing as Andy has a love for dogs, he jumps at the chance. Dachshund Through the Snow" is a well-done legal mystery with plenty of twists and suspense. A very nice aftermath hints at the future of the series.
