About this deal

Ryuko is a hard-hitting, motorcycle-riding, high ranking member of the Japanese mafia stationed in the Middle-East. After a fierce battle with the government, she becomes embroiled with the Chinese and an unknown terrorist organisation. Everyone has their own agenda, but it becomes personal for Ryuko when her mother is kidnapped and she was forced to kill her father. What is the right thing to do in this morally complicated situation? A psychologically-driven work with fun mystery and supernatural components is what you can expect while reading Yua Kotegawa’s Kimi ni Knife. In it, we follow Shiki, a substitute teacher with a need for wealth. He meets a woman who offers him an assassin gig that’ll pay him 5 million yen per kill. After meeting his first target and learning about her powers, Shiki realizes he’s in way over his head. Respected fine artist Yoshimizu propels an enormous cast through a complicated plot that twists and turns without ever losing momentum and presents action sequences—of which there are many—in brilliantly disorienting compositions that emphasize speed and a sense of unfolding carnage. Fun for fans of Manga, crime epics, espionage thrillers, action adventure, and bold choices in illustration and storytelling. “-Library Journal Starred Review Chaisiri, Andy Lee. "Kill la Kill: The Fashion of Fascism". Art-Eater. Archived from the original on March 14, 2014 . Retrieved March 14, 2014. Superhuman Power: Ryūko's strength, speed, and abilities far surpass that of an ordinary human. From the start, Ryūko was able to take on multiple One-Star students by herself without the need to wear Senketsu, as seen in Episode 1. She became much stronger throughout the series, both on her own and in her synchronization with Senketsu. Even while wearing a scarf with only Senketsu's eye sewn to, it, she was still able to defeat numerous students with new Goku uniforms enhanced by fragments of Senketsu with ease while riding on a motorbike. Her power increases further when she comes to terms with her true nature as a Life Fiber hybrid and thus stops thinking of herself within the bounds of human limitations. In her rage at finding out she is not human, she was able to destroy multiple COVERS and free the humans therein with one swing of her scissor blade in Episode 20, and also sliced several buildings apart from afar with one blow, all without Senketsu.

The research for Gamma Draconis was quite difficult for me. I travelled for the research, I went to London and France.

A solid crime thriller fresh from the picture-house, filled with action-film style pandemonium”– Nerdly Devilman, the first version, not the TV anime, when I was a little kid. Actually I went to Go Nagai's studio and got his autograph. While Ryūko does not yet seem to trust him completely, Aikurō seems determined to help her uncover the truth behind her father's murder. He is also constantly watching her fight from behind the scenes, always on high alert should something go wrong. He is shown to be especially concerned about Senketsu's fast evolution. When in Ryūko's presence, he has a tendency to show off his well built body. This flusters her and makes her uncomfortable. Aikuro has notably shown hesitation in any case of disposing of Ryūko as suggested by Tsumugu Kinagase, even when Ryūko lost control and was consumed by her Kamui, hesitating in shooting her and alerting her berserked form to his presence. When the fight comes to an end, Ryūko declares to Satsuki that she will tear down her ambitions, utterly destroy them, and then will have Satsuki tell her about her involvement with her father's murder. Satsuki accepts and announces that from then on, Ryūko will be the target of every club. Only when she defeats every opposing student, will they once again fight one another. If Ryūko wins that fight, only then will Satsuki reveal her involvement in the death of Isshin Matoi. In the follow-up OVA episode, set two weeks after the battle with Ragyo, Rei Hououmaru uses leftover Life Fibers to create doppelgängers of Satsuki and the Elite Four in Junketsu and their original Goku Uniforms to disrupt Honnouji Academy's graduation ceremony and avenge Ragyo. But the clones are defeated while Satsuki convinces Rei to abandon her struggle as Ryuko uses the Scissor Blades to finish off Honnouji Academy. The school is shut down during the sinking of Honnō City, and everyone leaves to live out normal lives, with Satsuki having the students, Elite Four, Iori, Rei, and Mitsuzo give a final salute to the school while Ryuko departs with Mako and her family.
