Natural greens All Roads Lead To Cokey (HD, 10 Mins.) - A brief EPK type of feature that includes cast and crew interviews, the true story that inspired the film, the performances, characters, and the bear itself. It's too short to get into the fun of it all. time and again in white powder and red blood. It's a ridiculous premise but, if nothing else, in a world of copycat movies, this one at least aims to do Un bearable Bloodbath: Dissecting the Kills (1080p, 8:16): Making several of the more grizzly, er, grisly, kills. This year’s meme given cinematic life proves to be both better and worse than any sort of expectations one may have coming to a film named ‘Cocaine Bear’. And yes, there will be expectations...

Cocaine Bear (2023) - Blu-ray + DVD+Digital Review Cocaine Bear (2023) - Blu-ray + DVD+Digital Review

Yeah, not a fan of this business model. Big thumbs down from me. Just release the 4K alongside the 1080p discs, Universal!drugs and unwittingly indulged itself. It is also not hard to believe that the movie that has been made around the story is a far-flung reworking of Doing Lines – Cast and filmmakers read lines from the script to COCAINE BEAR, which was a work of art unto itself. Cocaine Bear comes with an English DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 mix that is downmixed to 5.1 on my configuration. This mix has deep, resounding low end, and wide panning across the front. The dynamics are excellent, and dialogue is clear over the fray of audio effects. aggressive action, listeners will enjoy some amplified height effects to increase the sense of full stage involvement. While not so discrete as to make the perfectly colorful. The image (cocaine) bears much fruit for crispness and textural efficiency, boasting ample clarity and definition to faces, landscape, The story, then, is practically nonexistent, and that's what the film wants: any semblance of forward narrative motion is due only to the progressioncocaine) bare minimum and there are no compression artifacts, banding, or anything of the like. This is modern Blu-ray presenting a modern movie at Big, stupid, goofy fun. Its that simple. Never as outrageous as you want it to be, but far more heart-warming and sweeter than you ever figured it could be, I had a surprisingly good time with this. Maybe its my undying love of all creature features, no matter their quality…maybe it’s that nostalgia button I’m finding is being pushed more and more as my years advance…or maybe my critical faculties are in need of a tune up (before anyone else says so)…either way, I had far more of a good time with Cocaine Bear than I hoped would be possible. A different good time than expected, but a good time nonetheless. Doing Lines - Cast and filmmakers read lines from the script to COCAINE BEAR, which was a work of art unto itself.

Audio: English: DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1; Spanish: DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1; French (Canada): DTS 5.1 Cocaine Bear was shot using the ARRIRAW 4.5K digital source with Arri Alexa LF and Arri signature Prime lenses. Theatrically it had a 4K digital intermediate which, while no other information could be found about what the source of this discs’ image could be, it seems reasonable to assume is the source of the 3840 x 2160p resolution image in a theatrically accurate 2.39:1 aspect ratio that also utilises 10-bit video depth, WCG and a HDR10 grade (no Dolby Vision), all of which has been encoded using the HEVC/H.265 video codec. Turn off your mind, relax, and let the absurdity reign with this gory dark comedy, which looks and sounds great on Blu-ray. The 1080p transfer is impressively handled with clear and sharp visuals throughout. The forest scenes are particularly impressive as every leaf, twig, and plant comes into perfect focus.

All of which means that Cocaine Bear has to work pretty hard to do something that we haven’t seen before, and although we’ve seen animals affected by pesticides, microwaves, laser beams from space and bits of meteors that have dropped in the sea, we haven’t actually seen a wild beast go mad on narcotics. And to a point, we still haven’t because this is 2023 and filmmakers are not going to give actual cocaine to an actual bear (although had this been made in the 1970s by, say, John Milius or Werner Herzog then that is probably what would have happened). Remarkable by how completely unremarkable they are for a major studio release in this day and age...
