This man literally chloroform his wife just to inject a tracker in her and to also put on that torture device of a ring.I loved Cash but he was definitely the most frustratingly mysterious of all Sav’s MMC’s, in my opinion. How much they wanted each other, how much they were into each other, their obsession and their possessive thoughts, their want to be together no matter what happens, the hurt/comfort and the super sweet moments between them, the steamy scenes and how lovely they were, the characters and how nicely developed they were and how well they fit together, and the dark romance elements were super wonderfully done, but mostly, just how good of a couple these two were and how lovely their romance was. These are two damaged people that find themselves in a marriage of convenience and have to make it work.

The book was dark and gritty but there was so much depth to the romance, obsession,and the hurt/comfort that it balanced out. He wore glasses though, like alllll the time, if you catch my drift 😏 there is a certain trope with Cash I don’t want to reveal, but absolutely loved in this story! and living without even an ounce of you would’ve been like living without the fucking rain: completely impossible. I love how Arianna was so concerned and worried about her past (because that’s all she knew) and Cash, after learning about some of her past, gave her the time and all of his attention.During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book. i wish we had seen a little more of her relationship with her sisters, primarily elena, especially towards the end, but i'm hopeful we'll see snippets of them together in the next book! it felt like things were all over the place and a lil underdeveloped, but that aspect didn't really impact how much i enjoyed reading this. For those who love gritty, somewhat nasty mysteries with weird, and an exotic setting in one of the world’s most famous cities, this thriller mystery will satisfy.

her books are so easy to fall into from the first page, and i always look forward to picking them up whenever she publishes them. A quarter billion dollars and one existential crisis later, Cash Primrose was dragging me down the aisle in the name of convenience.The world in this book was just built very nicely and it gave the book such a fun element while I was reading and it just made me even more engaged in the story. I’m easily entertained, however not always easily impressed by the writing and structure of a novel or the treatment of the characters. Ultimately, the best time to read a book is whenever you have a chunk of time available and are in the right mindset to focus on reading. This one is my favorite so far, but I’m interested in how the last book will pan out and compare to the others. The car scene after their wedding, the office scene (where they fuck with someone on the phone) and then the car scene when Arianna has a panic attack.
