About this deal

At this point you should be able to flip the cover of your Corsair M65 mouse about halfway off with only two cables still connecting it to the bottom. The USB interface cable and one of the RGB LED cables. Remove both of those and you can then clean/set your upper case aside. If you are experiencing issues with your computer mouse, you can try resetting the mouse to resolve the issue. Elsewhere the supplied cable is braided, but sadly non-removable. On the underside of the device are three removable weights for fine-tuning the balance, and of course the optical sensor itself. Rated at a maximum 12,000dpi, the sensor is suitable for monitors of all resolutions, with complete customisability available in software. Without any lighting, Corsair claims up to 120 hours of battery life when using Bluetooth (90 hours when using Slipstream). The mouse automatically sleeps after 15 minutes, however, so you can reasonably use the M65 for weeks without a charge. Compared to my Razer Viper Ultimate, I didn’t feel the charging bug nearly as often. And when I did, the USB-C port for charging meant I was rarely without a spare cable. Also, a good thing to have is a cheap voltmeter with a continuity tester to verify your switch’s operational state prior to soldering them in. Disassembly of the Corsair M65 Pro RGB mouse.

Once we’re in and after we remove the cables and screws we now have some left-right mouse buttons that we can salvage! The company “ZIP” cannot be found but the switches at least feel good and we did plug this mouse in prior to make sure that there are no cold connections going on. One thing to note is if you are trying to repair your middle mouse button switch it might be harder to salvage. In the picture above the middle-button switch has the dimensions which are more appropriate to repair a Corsair Naga series mouse which needs a 6mm X 6mm X 7mm design. To additionally push this rodent I tested it by playing high-paced FPS games. Whipping out Battlefield V and PUBG I was blown away by its insanely high control speed. I faced no irregularities, spin-outs, or any glitches. Polling rate is at 1000Hz/500Hz/250Hz/125Hz, respectively. I can see no input lag with this sensor. Balance and Weight

Most Corsair mice have a reset function you can use to fix unexpected behavior issues, such as repeating button inputs, lighting issues, or being unresponsive. We were having a hard time finding the appropriate cherry for the middle mouse button which is 6mm X 6mm X 5mm in dimensions with only two connector pins no ground pin. If anyone knows the Cherry model number for that leave it in the comments below. Salvage mode. Adjustments to the M65’s performance can be made here, with the ability to create profiles that can be saved onto the mouse, or shared as digital files. Key adjustments include changing the DPI settings, button remapping, and calibrating against the mousemat surface. Should I buy the Corsair M65 Pro RGB? It may be tempting to use WD-40 on the button, but mineral oil could penetrate some plastics and worsen the problem. So stay away from penetrating oils like Tri-Flow unless you just don’t care anymore. With its PixArt PMW3360 optical sensor, the Corsair M65 Pro has up to 12,000 DPI. This can be adjusted in steps of 1 DPI using Corsair’s comprehensive iCUE software, letting you fine tune the settings to your exact specification. With iCUE and the Corsair M65 Pro you have complete control in the palm of your hand. Smooth and Stylish Having a DPI change buttons on the fly is very convenient and I’m sure you will all agree with that, however, my feeling was that DPI buttons are a little stiff. Also, the scroll wheel and the forward DPI button could use some space between them. DPI can also be changed up to 18,000! That is crazy number, though personally, I’m satisfied at 2,400 DPI. Sensor And, even after removing these screws, it might take a good shake for them to actually drop out – one came out really easily, but we actually had to get a pen to pry out the other two. However, this is likely just due to it being new, and they’ll loosen up over time. The M65 Pro is constructed from a tough aluminium chassis. Each surface is covered with a layer of plastic, with the top section coated in a soft-touch material that feels great against your fingers. The sides adopt a more textured finish for increased grip, but it does have a slightly loose feel to it. I’m a fan of Corsair’s approach here, but all surfaces appear to be a magnet for finger oils, and long gaming sessions can build up a fair amount of moisture. Very happy after 2 weeks I can finally use a mouse again. It's not perfect for my big hands but it's usable. I'm not sure any mouse will ever be perfect, so I'm happy. High quality. If you have normal people hands I'm sure you'll love it.
