About this deal

With its compact and unobtrusive design, the Honeywell T6360 thermostat blends seamlessly into any room decor. It is built to last, with quality materials ensuring durability and reliability over time. It's a straight swap, the diagrams you posted show that the terminals of the old and new thermostats have exactly the same function number for number [1 is live, 2 is neutral, 3 is switched live] The wiring info for the room state can be found here > http://content.honeywell.com/uk/homes/Catalogue/Heating Controls/2.17 T6360.pdf However, it's unusual that there's a wire connected to terminal 4. This terminal is only made live when there is no demand for heating, so it could mean:

The thermostat does not need an earth as it is double insulated; the earth terminal is provided as a "parking terminal", i.e in case an earth link is needed. I've got same honeywell at the mo. YELLOW wire going into 1, BLUE into 2, RED into 3, and an earth. I currently have a Baxi Duo-Tec Combi Boiler with an intergrated timer and a wired Honeywell T6360B1028 thermostat. I would like to lower the temperature that the thermostat is set to turn on the heating, but having removed the front cover, it isn't obvious how to do this. There are several Wiser starter kits. For a straight swap of an existing wired thermostat on a combi boiler (ie one without a separate hot water cylinder) you should have the 'wired version' of the Wiser. With the wired version then the wires from terminals 1 & 3 of the Honeywell T6360B simply go to COM and NO at the Wiser instead. And the existing boiler time control is set to be permanently 'on' 24/7 allowing the Wiser to take full control. The Honeywell T6360 is a programmable electronic room thermostat used to control heating within a domestic or small commercial environment. It works by measuring the air temperature within its location and then maintaining it at the level set by the user. This thermostat is designed to improve overall energy efficiency by allowing users to easily control the temperature of their space. The T6360 thermostat is compatible with a wide range of heating and cooling systems, including gas and oil boilers, electric heating systems, and air conditioning units. It can be easily installed and wired, making it a convenient choice for both professional installers and DIY enthusiasts.

Am I right in thinking I could just use the neutral wire and connect this to connection 2 as well as 3? The equivalent function would be realised by doing what you suggest, however I strongly suggest you change it so that the white wire replaces the green/yellow wire (at both ends), and the green/yellow is used solely for the protective earth. The only way to confirm for sure, would be by knowing what is connected to the other end of each of the wires. Unfortunately the colours of wires are meaningless as they would have been chosen by the original installer and as earlier posts show some don't always make a sensible choice. It's what is connected to each end of a wire that determines its function, not the colour of its insulation.

For general purpose control of gas valves, zone valves, circulation pumps, ventilators, boilers etc. in heating or cooling systems. The Honeywell T6360 thermostat is a temperature control device used in residential and commercial settings. It allows users to easily adjust and maintain desired room temperatures. The thermostat features a simple and intuitive interface, making it user-friendly and easy to operate. I've just replaced my old Honeywell T6360 room stat as the old one stopped working. I'm not very experienced in matters of electricity so to make things easy for myself, I simply bought a brand new one (i.e. the same model) so i could just copy over the wiring. All went fine. Just one query - the new Honeywell T6360 has a small LED on it with is illuminated when the unit "calls for heat". I was just wondering if there is an easy way of using my existing wiring to connect up the LED, or if additional wiring is needed? Might not be that difficult to someone who knows what they are doing but the guy didnt know the difference between a live and neutral even with the diagram. And knows his capabilities. With an easy-to-use dial interface, the Honeywell T6360 allows users to adjust the temperature according to their preference. It also has a variable temperature control range from 10 to 30 degrees Celsius, and a switchable voltage operation between 220 and 240 volts, making it compatible with most types of central heating systems.

Also, once I have done this and have the wireless thermostat connected, Do I just keep the integrated mechanical timer on constant rather than disconnect it and I can programme the times and temps from my phone. A room thermostat controls the heating in your home. If the room's temperature drops below your chosen temperature, the thermostat will switch on. Once the room has reached the chosen temperature, the thermostat will turn the heating off, preventing overheating and reducing energy consumption. This can help reduce your home's energy consumption. Although not good practice, you could use the earth wire as the switched live but you should put red sleeving or insulating tape round both ends to show it is not an earth wire. Don't forget to change both ends of the wires!

Am I right in thinking that the wireless receiver/extension that I can wire into the boiler would only be of use if I have a wireless thermostat or for hot water? As I have a combi boiler and will fit a wired Tado thermostat, I presume I won’t need the wireless receiver, simply the internet bridge which I have connected in my router? The product Honeywell Home T6360B1028 is a room thermostat with 240V in white colour. The T6360 is a mains voltage room thermostat designed to give automatic temperature control of domestic wet central heating systems.
