To say they can't afford to make content available that used to be available on home video is disingenuous. It’s been a while but I think the DVD used the same old TV broadcast transfers rather than new ones, but I could be mistaken. And if you can see past the 80's current affairs gags and the shoulder pads, the show could easily stand up today. I would almost be willing to bet that Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon Caron was playing that game when he came up with the idea for this show: "She's a famous fashion model whose lost all of her money. Yes, we all know that stardom went to Bruce Willis's head and that by the end of the run everyone was fighting with everyone, but series 1 and 2 are a joy to watch, when there was still chemistry between David and Maddy.
