The device or dongle you connected to has new features for USB-C that your PC (or phone) doesn’t support. Your PC (or phone) has a low battery, so it has temporarily limited the amount of power it can provide to the device. Your PC (or phone) might not provide enough power to the USB device. Plug a power adapter into your USB device, or try to use a different PC (or phone). One of the major advantages of DisplayPort over USB-C is that you can use it more easily in newer, slimmer devices such as notebooks, tablets, phones, or displays. Since the USB Type-C connector is the latest USB interface that almost all new devices sport, this reduces the number of ports required on any one device.

They are available in various sizes and shapes and are generally more affordable than cables. Adapters can support higher resolutions and color spaces, such as 8K@60Hz UHD.An external display and video cable. The video cable and Surface adapter you need depends on which type of video port is on your external display. For example, if your external display has a DisplayPort, you will need a DisplayPort video cable and the Surface USB-C to DisplayPort adapter. To charge faster, your PC, charger, and cable must all support the industry standards. Your charger and cable must also support the power levels your PC requires for the faster charging. For example, if your PC requires 12V and 3A for the fastest charging, a 5V, 3A charger won’t give you the fastest charging. I don't have other type-c monitors to test so I can't really determine if the issue is with the type-c cable or the monitor not supporting it. So if anyone was successful with using a bidirectional cable for this monitor, please tell me!! Or if there is a way to fix this somehow, please tell me as well! Dust or dirt inside the USB port on your device prevented the charger from being inserted correctly. Make sure the video cable is securely plugged into your external display or TV. On the other end, make sure the video cable is securely plugged into the adapter.
Will DisplayPort over USB-C provide the same level of performance and features as the standard DisplayPort connection? The USB-C technology has become synonymous with several groundbreaking features, such as USB 3.1 data transfer (up to 10 Gbps), USB power delivery for laptops, and Thunderbolt 3 compatibility for supported devices. These capabilities enable the USB-C port to output high-quality video content from various devices to high-resolution displays like 4K TVs. Make sure the device or dongle is connected to the USB-C port on your PC that supports the correct Alternate Mode. For example, if you're connecting a Thunderbolt Alternate Mode device, make sure you connect to the USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt™. For gamers, HDMI 2.0 doesn't support the FreeSync standard. HDR content is limited to static metadata (the HDR 10 standard) compared to 2.1, which supports dynamic metadata (including HDR10+ and Dolby Vision). These older HDMI 2.0 4K monitors will save you some money, but you'll also lose out on some features. At the end of the day, USB-C over DisplayPort offers a convenient alternative to many previous display interfaces. In addition, a device that supports DP Alt Mode can also provide power to the connected display. USB-C Alt Mode display output should also provide support for USB Power Delivery (USB-PD). If your laptop supports USB-PD (and many do), you can charge your laptop and output to a monitor with a single cable.

Functions / Device Type
There's some contention over whether daisy-chaining multiple 4K monitors is possible over USB-C, though. If that's important to you, you're better off going with DisplayPort or opting for a Thunderbolt 3 monitor, instead.
