Do I think you should buy this lawn mower? If you’re looking for something uber-simple yet fully functional, then without a doubt, I would recommend this mower. The grass box is easy to attach securely and remove from the mower; the compacted grass clippings empty easily with no obstructions (see my video above). Practicalities

The Bosch EasyRotak 36-550 is a cordless lawn mower with 5 cutting heights ranging from 25mm to 70mm, has a 37cm cutting width and a 40 litre solid grass collection box. The mower is supplied with 2 x 2.0Ah batteries that charge in around 65 minutes and is designed for lawns up to 550m² in size.If you happen to fall into this category, unfortunately the Bosch UniversalRotak 36-550 does NOT have a rear roller The grass box will hold up to 40 litres, so it isn’t the biggest on the market but it’s certainly enough to aid you around a smaller garden. Practicalities As with any lawn mower if the cord becomes damaged, it is recommended to replace the cable with one of similar size and strength from Bosch and not a cheaper third party replacement. This really is the easiest and smoothest height adjustment I have used and wish all lawn mower brands adopted this mechanism. Also, another benefit is the ability to charge the 4Ah battery to 80% in just 96 minutes, ideal if you have a smaller lawn and don’t require the full run time to get the lawn mowed. After testing this model, I can confirm it delivers on Bosch’s reputation for reliability and performance. The 550 handles cutting and collection exactly as expected from a premium mower. It’s crucial that whatever lawnmower you chose has height adjustment. This is, unfortunately, often overlooked by consumers, in favour of battery life and power. Still, it’s really important. It plays an essential part in maintaining a healthy lawn and being able to accommodate to different seasons and different lawn types, so make sure you consider this when choosing your next lawnmower. Thankfully, this is an area in which the Bosch UniversalRotak 36-550 also excels.
