To put it simply, we cleaned a car. The Cubevac got a full and thorough test, vacuuming out nooks and crannies as well as dealing with fluff and grit from the floor mats.
LARGER DUST CAPACITY: Compared with other shop vacuums in its class, Worx WX031.9 has a larger dust capacity (8L) to provide enough storage for an entire toilet or long clogged pipe cleaning. The supplied all-purpose nozzle has a very small cleaning path, which means cleaning larger areas, like the boot floor, takes a lot longer than it should. And unlike some full-sized cordless vacuums, there’s no option for a powered turbo tool, which means you’ll need to manually agitate stubborn dirt like pet hair.Another nice feature is the onboard storage. It means that the brush and crevice accessories are always with you. That crevice accessory also has a hidden benefit. It is extendable to reach into really tight spaces.
If you’re a ‘little and often’ type of car cleaner the Worx Cubevac will be perfect for you. It couldn’t be easier to use and is great for tight spaces and small cars. It feels solid and high-quality and like it will stand up to a lot of dirty work. There are nice rubber feet in all four corners that help keep the vacuum in place on flat surfaces. In the photo above, you can also see the suction end of the hose wand in its stored position. I washed the two filters and let them dry for the next use. This brought up my next complaint. There is simply no way to empty the debris bin and clear the filters without getting yourself filthy. My hands were covered in dust after banging off the two filters. MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS WITH BLOWER MODE: with a built-in crevice tool and a wide nozzle, it's more flexible to vacuum and blow any narrow and deep spaces like under bed or behind the furniture.Cordless vacuums always have an advantage when it comes to cleaning a car. You don’t have to drag your mains-powered machine out into the driveway, or fumble with extension cords. That’s especially advantageous if you have to street park, since you don’t need to wait for a space outside your own house. The two filters can be cleaned with clear water. The HEPA filter should be replaced once it can no longer be effectively cleaned. Being cordless is always a boon for a car vac – it’s not always convenient to drag a mains-powered machine out onto the driveway, and if you have to street park you’re limited by whether you can get a space outside your own house.

Inside the dust compartment, you’ll find a mesh shroud over a pleated paper filter, both of which twist out as one unit for cleaning. There’s no post-motor filter. How did you test the Cubevac? Products that are easy to use often reflect smart design choices by the manufacturer. In the event of a roadside emergency, for instance, you want a product that will be both straightforward and adjustable. Ease of use can greatly sway a product’s overall rating, which is why our team focuses on the simplicity of each product design prior to and during testing. This isn’t a powerful cleaner, even on its ‘High’ mode. This was shown when we tried to extract sand from a car mat - we had to go over it several times to get the last bit out, where a more powerful cordless cleaner - or one with a spinning turbine tool - would extract it with ease.
