The extremely low profile of the OEX Phoxx 1 enables you to pitch the tent in some fairly exposed areas. I’ve had it up in 40mph+ winds and driving rain and it never failed. Note – this isn’t really a review as such – this is more a spec comparison, so you can see the key differences between the two tents. There are however some methods that you can use to determine a product’s quality without needing to physically have it. What’s the price of 1 – 2 Person Tents? I’d been using the OEX Phoxx 1 for a couple of years and was very pleased with the stability in high winds and driving rain on my wild camps. So when it came to wanting to share the experience I instantly went for the Phoxx 2 as a cheap solution for my next budget shelter. I was used to the setup which is exactly the same as the Phoxx 1, so it was a clear choice without offending the wallet.Another factor that can be a great indication of product quality is the brand. Brands like OEX are of course extremely well known, especially for 1 – 2 Person Tents. Sleeping in the OEX Phoxx was really good fun. This may be down to the fact that I didn't have to share the tent so there was oodles of room for a solo camper and I could spread all my gear out and still have room for the dogs. From a personal perspective, it would be a snug fit to share with another adult and have space for your gear. Plenty upright space in the OEX Phoxx 2

We’re really pleased to have scored OEX Phoxx 2 Tent so highly, givimg it 9.7 out of 10, making it well above the average for all 1 – 2 Person Tents. When buying 1 – 2 Person Tents, the quality of the product is going to be one of the factors that you really scrutinise before you commit to buying. The feel and look of the tent are great and it felt very homely once the lantern was on the go and snuggled up in the sleeping bag. There was plenty of room to put up the OEX Ultralite Stool which worked perfectly for holding the lantern and my mobile. Comparison 🔥🔥🔥🔥 That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from OEX so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at OEX branded products within the 1 – 2 Person Tents category. The cost of OEX 1 – 2 Person Tents Condensation didn't prove to be much of a problem although there was a slight sheen on the inner tent in the morning and the functionality of a door on each side of the tent made a huge difference as you're able to move in and out with less bother and create a good current of air to ventilate the tent. We also found that, for a tunnel tent, there was more than adequate head room in the tent which gave it a spacious feeling, which would be needed if two were sharing the tent. We put the Phoxx 2 through our rigorous testing criteria to evaluate it's overall performance and functionality, design and construction, our own user experience and value for money and overall, the Phoxx 2 excelled across the board given the rain and windy conditions we pitched in, giving them a 4 out of 5 fireside rating. Price – as you’d expect the price of a product can be an instantly recognisable factor on what sort of quality you can expect. Whoever came up with the phrase “you get what you pay for” pretty much hit the nail on the head. Whilst it’s not always the case and there are many bargains to be had, you can as a general rule, expect the higher priced products to offer better quality than a the cheapest option.
