About this deal

I think FurReal Cubby the Curious Bear will be a massive hit for many children this Christmas and I can’t wait to give it to my girls this year! Would Hurt a Child: Treats all his human and Gummi enemies the same, regardless of age or gender, and is actually fond of threatening the children to get to the adults. Cubby isn’t too heavy which is great. You often think these interactive toys will be but children can easily move him around, without the worry of dropping him.

Apron Matron: Her status as the matriarch of the Glen is cemented by her permanent apron-like attire.

Perlmutter, David (2018). The Encyclopedia of American Animated Television Shows. Rowman & Littlefield. pp.14–15. ISBN 978-1538103739.

The Little King (1933-1934): An animated adaptation of the classic Newspaper Comic strip, lasting 10 shorts. Two shorts preceding this series were also based on Little King's companion strip, "Sentinel Louie", but released as part of the Aesop's Fables series. The series actually takes pains to emphasize that Gruffi's relationship with the other Gummis is a constant balancing act between his nicer side, which they respect, and annoying them with his Jerkass traits. In one episode, Grammi even seriously suggests using ancient Gummi magic to change Gruffi's personality after he's been a particular pain in the rump.Mr Fix It: She is surprisingly knowledgeable about fixing things. This gives her a Commonality Connection with Gruffi.

One Head Taller: They're about twice the height of the Glen Gummis; the height difference is most prominent between the two leaders, Ursa and Gruffi. Princess of Castle Dunwyn. Despite being a princess, she's longing for some action in her life, being bored of the royal protocols laid for her. Action Girl: Even the Glen Gummis don't act like there's anything the least bit odd about this, implying Gummi culture in general is not patriarchal like contemporary human culture.

Psycho Serum: In "Spinning Mice", the wizards magic potion, which normally turns ugly things into beautiful things, becomes this after an extra ingredient accidentally falls into it, turning a batch of mice into little Red Devils. Christmas Episode: "Opening Night", Cubby Bear's first short. Santa Claus even cameos in the opening. Fat Bastard: The young cat and his grandmother in "Scotty Finds a Home" are menaced by a pudgy dog vagabond who breaks into their house and forces them to give him their food. Although we couldn’t test this at night we could have a go. Cubby closed his eyes and started one of the three-5 minute sequences available. He makes some very cute sleepy sounds and plays soft music or forest sounds. Perfect for helping your little one fall asleep. His left paw is the only activation point that works and you can press this and change the sequence.

Mr. Vice Guy: He's a lovely person (well, bear) in general, but has a problem with gluttony, so much that in one episode Igthorn tries to tempt him into help him by offering him food. Precision F-Strike: "Goofy Goat Antics" was banned from many theaters for use of the word, "damn". Note that this was three years before The Hays Code. The Cubby the Curious Bear Instructions are easy to follow. The come in picture form and I had no issues. Sycophantic Servant: Big time. Justified in the sense that while the Duke is a pain, at least associating with him gives him some semblance of authority over the regular ogres who casually abuse him out of fun. Amos N' Andy (1934): A short lived attempt at adapting the popular radio show of the 30s. It notably featured their original radio actors reprising their roles, but it only lasted for two shorts.

Toadwart (a.k.a Toadie)

Cool Old Guy: He may be the oldest Gummi in the glen, but he's also brave, adventurous, and enjoys having fun, even showing a love of mischief with his spells. At the start of the song sequence in "In The Bag", it starts off with what looks like two cowgirls dancing to the rhythm, with their ten gallon hats covering their faces—only for the end of their dance to reveal that theyre both gonkish men instead. Goatee of Evil: It's part of his "evil knight" appearance. He will often stroke it when coming up with his latest Evil Plan. I will go into more details about how we found Cubby Bear by FuReal and our overall thoughts for him, as a gift for Children. More About Cubby Bear However, he LOVED Cubby and just look at his face! I have a feeling there may be a few little arguments this Christmas morning.
