I love fairisle type patterns and Krogbragd so these beautiful Crazy shot patterns are exactly what I’m looking for. I love Overshot because the weft and warp play an equal role in making the motifs and designs pop, while giving the fabric a humble elegance. I love the idea of creating such beautiful patterns, I too love Colour and have a huge stash of fibers to play with. When I want to step outside my comfort zone, I like to take a skein of a long color repeat yarn like Noro Kureyon and match up all the solid colors I have in my stash to the colors in the yarn.This technique interests me because it allows a greater exploration of what you can do on a Rigid Heddle loom. I think this latest book of Myra’s sounds the perfect kickstart to turn ‘knitter me’ into ‘weaver me’.

I love the challenge of trying something new, just as much as I love having beautiful things around our home.Double heddle threading is slow and methodical so I can appreciate the patience it will need to use a pickup stick to do any of these. The patterns look extremely complex and yet are achieved with just one heddle and one pick up stick! I feel when I can get started it would be so good to have her ideas and instructions right their beside me. Rigid Heddle has become my favorite loom, and the joy of learning new ways to create beauty increases daily as I weave.I bought a 4-shaft loom because I thought it would allow me to work on more complicated patterns, but I love and prefer my rigid heddle loom.
