About this deal

Jean Nate is one of my favorite things. I really don't consider it a “fragrance” even though they do make an EDT spray, I consider it a bathing necessity. It is fresh lemon verbana, lavender, vanilla just like you described. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. It dries down to a powdery version of the lemon/pepper/herb scent, but that is dead center and never totally disappears.

That thing on the left, Cora, has had me a little busy the last week. Yes, that is a bee sweater. She just had a bath and needed to be warmed! I had planned to review that… Continue Reading →... What a lovely story about your grandfather. I distinctly remember seeing bottles of Jean Nate in the bathroom at a couple of friends’ houses as a girl and thinking it looked wildly sophisticated, being French and all! I probably unscrewed the cap and dabbed some on furtively. Our team of Patient Advocates includes a medical doctor, a registered nurse, health services administrators, veterans, VA-accredited Claims Agents, an oncology patient navigator and hospice care expert. In any case, Grampa Leo loved his Jean Naté. He was a very natty fellow, and would always splash some on after his bath. The bathroom always smelled of fresh lemons and Grampa Leo always smelled powder-fresh. sealed products which are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery (unless these items were damaged or faulty when delivered to you or have been incorrectly delivered) Honestly I think everybody’s grandparent might have had a bottle in their bathroom. Says “early 70’s” more than avacado shag carpeting and harvest gold appliances.Doctors diagnose an estimated 3,000 cases of mesothelioma each year in the U.S., and most are related to occupational exposure to asbestos. Not being in the US Jean Nate holds no memories for me. My Nan wore Tweed when I was a child in the 60s. Still I’m going to have a furtle round & see if I can find it. It might even be inexpensive in the UK. Jean Nate after bath splash was my maternal grandmother’s signature scent. She also was from New England in the days of un-air-conditioned houses. I never knew her to wear any other perfumed products — she was super thrifty. Like you, I bought a bottle in recent years to see if it smelled the same. Yup. I use it rarely — only in summer. But it’s nice to have the scent memory of her. Your Grampa Leo sounds like a treasure, Tom.

Now, those tests were on bare, not-out-of-the-bath skin since I wanted to do what I pretend to be a scientific deep-dive on this (“how you all work me”, as Lucia would say) in the two days I have had it, So I am not sure if the one thing that I do remember about this still holds true: on freshly bathed (rather than just showered) skin it will strip off dead skin like old paint. This may not be a selling point to you. It works for me. I wore the Jean Nate splash and dusting powder in the late 70's to early 80's—–layered with Coty Wild Musk 🙂 I wish I could find some eponymous Charles of the Ritz. Seems that “house” made some beauties & I adored it in the late 70s & early 80s In 1916, hairdresser Charles Jundt took over the Manhattan beauty salon of the New York City Ritz (later the Ritz-Carlton) hotel. He founded his own cosmetics company in 1919, and in 1926, began marketing beauty products under the name "Charles of the Ritz". Perfume was added to this line in 1927.In the lawsuit, Laura Daniels cited the product Jean Nate Silkening Body Powder and other Revlon products that her father provided for her. Well my inbox and facebook feed were bombarded over this past week with the notice that there was a new mens Hermès fragrance, available at Nordstrom, called H24.
