And while the drydown is similar to Aventus, it is much more simple, boring and mushy. You don't get much of anything but a rather dumbed down version of Aventus. I reviewed this fragrance when the bottle was brand-new, but it changed after a few months of maceration so I decided to update the review. Armaf ships these things out with zero time to macerate unlike higher-end brands so keep that in mind when you buy a new batch. One of the great things about this fragrance is its versatility. It can be worn in a variety of settings, from a night out on the town to a formal event. And, as one satisfied customer recently discovered, it can hold up well in even the hottest of conditions. As good as Creed? That’s a relative question… people that have never smelled Creed, or aren’t frag heads won’t know the difference, while that who have smelled Aventus will easily be able to tell you it isn’t Creed.

I personally like that the EDT is sharper and more rugged than my old bottles of Aventus, but this LE version presents a more pleasing fruity profile that I will probably reach for more when it's hotter outside. One of the big three Creed Aventus clones. Does it live up to the hype it's been given? Let's discuss;There is one more thing that I think needs to be mentioned, and that may run counter to what other people on here appear to have experienced, but that's what I have experienced: this edition does not last as long as the EDT. It could be a batch thing, but I got a better performance out of my EDT that I got from this Limited Edition Parfum, both in terms of projection and longevity. It's still very good with this edition, especially the longevity. But this does not project as much. It's a better scent all around, but not as potent (at least in my experience). It's clear that CDNIMLE has an Aventus type of smell, but in the same way you can tell a fresh pizza from Naples Italy and a frozen pizza both taste like pizza. The biggest differences are that the florals, fruits, and some of the greener/earthy notes are toned down in CDNIMLE while the lemon, smoke, and pepper are ramped up. The quality of ingredients in Aventus also give it a much more natural and pleasant scent profile.
