In terms of design, the 9300 Retro Mk II looks a bit as though two Retro Minis have been joined together. It’s twice as wide as the Retro Mini with dimensions of 30 x 20.5 x 11.5 cm, so you will need a bit more space for it. The View Quest Retro Mini is a small but perfectly formed DAB+ Radio and Bluetooth speaker which will compliment any home decor. PLUSwe can play our own music library, simply by connecting ittothe iPad orphonesvia Bluetoothor with the inbuiltaux-in connection.
The Retro Mini features DAB & DAB+ Digital Radio along with traditional FM, meaning you can listen to all the available stations broadcast in your area from the likes of; your national, commercial, and local broadcasters. Finding new stations couldn’t be easier. The auto scan finds all your available stations with a simple alphabetical list to scroll through. Once you find a new favourite station, save it to one of sixty available presets. That is why I love this collaboration between VQ and Emma Bridgewater. The radios themselves are a pleasure to use, but having them available in these beautiful new patterns makes them even more beautiful to look at and they really do make everyday life that bit more pleasurable. So imagine my excitementwhen I learned that the lovely folk at View Quest were going to send me a brand spanking new radio, as part of a style challenge, tomarkthe expansion of their Emma Bridgewater range.

I have the Retro MK II in Emma Bridgewater’s iconic polka dot pattern (which I was given by VQ), as you can see in these pictures that I took at home in my livingroom. At first, I wasn’t really sure how an Emma Bridgewater pattern would sit in my livingroom as the room has quite an industrial influence. However, the polka dot pattern is a perfect addition and I think it looks really great against the moss green walls. The dark green dots are almost a perfect colour match to the wall colour. No matter what you choose to listen to it will sound fantastic thanks to the combination of the acoustically designed real wood case and a 10W ultra-wide full range stereo speaker. Those who like a little more bass or wish to tinker with the treble can do so using the full functional EQ which offers a range of presets and personalized MyEQ settings. Monty also features true innovation with the inclusion of Analogue Signal Processing (ASP) a technical evolution to deliver enhanced sound with a rich tone and no radio interference.
