Each Skylander is comprised of one of ten elements. Unlike many other games that use Elements, the Skylanders games do not have strengths or weaknesses when it comes to elemental match ups. All Skylanders are on a leveled playing field. Each regular Skylander is known as a Core Skylander. When a new character is introduced, it is marked as a Series 1 toy. If that character shows up again in a later Skylanders game, it is marked as Series 2. Some are stronger than the original characters based on the Power Stats. Light is the second element to include its name on its Skylanders (Spotlight and Knight Light), the first being Fire and the third being Air.
