About this deal

Otherwise you're going to need a lot technical questions to practice from. LeetCode has a great database of questions as well as the solutions and other testers' attempts. Interview Cake comes with 50+ hours of coding interview practice questions and readings that don’t just give you the answer, but teach you the right way of thinking about the question. Build the skills to derive the right answers yourself and explain your reasoning. My recent job search has led me on a journey to improve my coding interview skills. Front End Engineers like to rant about how the current hiring process is broken because technical interviews can include skills not related to front-end development. For example, writing a maze solving algorithm and merging two sorted lists of numbers. As a Front End Engineer myself, I can empathize with them. With a coding interview preparation course, you can practice coding interview questions in a hands-on way, and their video content is useful if you’re a visual-audio learner.

Again, it depends on your goal and your situation. There is a lot to know and like anything in life, it takes a lot of practice to get good at solving these problems and answering these questions in the right format. The goal here is to see how you would fit within the company and team, while also assessing your personal attributes. They will ask questions about your experience in the past and how you dealt with issues to try and predict how you may respond in the future to similar situations. One thing that really stood out was the fact that 10.7% of programmers who had applied for new jobs in the last 12 months stated that experience with ChatGPT or other AI tools was listed as part of their job application requirements.

What to expect from a Google behavioral interview

I used to think that being able to think, code, and communicate simultaneously was an impossible feat, until I realized that most people are just not good at coding interviews when they first start out. Interviewing is a skill that you can get better at by studying, preparing, and practicing for it. Rotate it out for now. If you take a break from this particular type of question for a few days, can you still solve it within the time limit when you try it again next week? First, look through your code from start to finish. Look at it as if it were written by someone else, and you are seeing it for the first time and trying to spot bugs in it. That’s exactly what your interviewer will be doing. Review and fix any issues you may find. Example: “Can you tell me about a time where you made a big mistake in your code?” or “Tell us about the worst manager you've had", etc.

Each company you can apply to is different and will possibly have different stages of the hiring and interview process, but let’s break down what you might see. Stage 1: The quizMake sure to make the area quiet. Leave a note for friends and family that you’re in an interview if need be Almost all companies that run quizzes will have one of these also. It’s designed to see how you problem solve before putting you in front of an interviewer. Again, if you’ve worked through the concepts needed for technical interviews then you should be fine. Stage 3: The technical interview Do you understand the question? At the start, it will take a while to even get a grasp of what is being asked. Research and go through notes. It might take you 30 minutes or more to even understand it and that’s fine. Next time it’ll be faster Alternatively, you can try out some of the ones below that have been proven to be used by multiple FAANG companies.
