About this deal

Can NOT split L / R to have IRs on one end and off on the other (to connect to amp and line out separately). Dual high-speed processing offers accurate modelling of 30 different amplifier options, including bias tweaking for an extra dimension of response adjustment, all using the proprietary NU-X TSAC-HD algorithm. You have to dial at band volumes if you are going to use it with a band and you want it to sound it's best. For the record, I share below the response of the SLO (all controls at noon) as it is now emulated by the MG30 (in blue), VS the curves of other digital MG30 models: the JCM800 (in white), 1987X (in green) and Friedman (in pink).

I don’t know why Line 6 didn’t put more effort into having people put their name on to some stuff, meaning patches , or if it’s out there I don’t know where it is.A thing that I do is sending NUX FX's to a real tube amp through the "send" jack plug, while the same FX's are sent simultaneously to a digital amp model in the MG30, itself plugged direct to the board. I think some of the models can be a bit processor hungry on the stomp leading to possible compromises but I’m sure it can do most anything you need with some judicious editing .

Other amp models don't do this in the MG30, or not so much, and it requires some "bass cut" with some IR's.My amp and cabinet simulation was taken care of by a Hotone ‘something or other’ The name escapes me. the best way to make good sounds to be used live or in a loud band mix is to adjust your sound/tone in a similar environment like: with your band, or at least with loud backing tracks similar to the same music style, and with a PA system or full range speakers (the higher quality the better. Do you think it would be possible to introduce a physical EQ pedal into the loop after the S/R for further tone shaping, given the parametric EQ is right at the front of the chain? It's intentionnal: it allows to avoid any inconsistency due to the position of the physical volume knob on the MG30 (more accessible to clumsy feet on stage than a "lateral" / perpendicular pot would be). I never had one malfunction, but for example, sometimes their digital pedals will make noise with certain power supplies, stuff like that.

When you use good reference playback…if the pa is dialed in correctly…you should get good results, at least to the point where the boards eq solves problems. The interface actually has a digital impression of the pedal or amp you're using that resembles the real thing. It's wasn't perfect out of the box, as it didn't have a UK power adaptor with the correct pins and using it with a 2-pin shaving adaptor was a bit unstable, but luckily I already had a suitable power adaptor that worked just fine. My guitar teacher has a Line 6 HX Stomp XL and seems to have added a separate foot press/release part to it. With the MG30 you have everything you need to craft and develop your ultimate guitar sound, with exciting and inspiring playing sensations! It doesn't make a difference in how it sounds obviously, but it adds a sense of interaction to the experience that makes it way more enjoyable to tweak the thing compared to the, for example, boring red horizontal scroll bars on other modelers *cough Helix cough*. Andertons Music Company acts as a credit broker and not a lender and only offers credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance. My thought when I read your testimonial is that cranking the mids with the SLO might give the same kind of relative difference between bass and mids than flat settings with the Friedman or Recto sim with their selective dips in the bass. EDIT - for comparison (and to verify that the results above are not due to a flawed test), PIC 7 shows in green the basic frequency response of a Valeton GP100, all FX's disabled, VS the reference signal direct to the board (white line).

With the use of the free Nux Quick Tone™ software you will be able to easily edit your sound parameters with precision, upload patches, load third party IR (impulse response) and even configure the routing of the USB audio stream. these frequencies are not those mentioned under the sliders on the screen: bass freq are centered on 100hz and not 80hz.

This condensed technology puts an infinite number of possible sounds and combinations at your fingertips, with studio quality. That's because they reproduce the sound of a mic'd cabinet into a Full Range Flat Response (FRFR) cabinet. For a little more you could look at the Pod Go or the Boss GX-100 which are both super easy to use and have very high-quality effects.
