About this deal

Whether the scars from your past still haunt you , or you're dealing with something that you think you can't make it through , read this . I’ve read other books by Sheila Walsh, and I’m always taken in by the honesty in Shelia Walsh’s writing. This book is no exception. She has openly shared her story many times. Now, in this book, she goes farther in sharing with readers specific ways to move forward in life and faith when both are hard. She knows how the hurt in life can make many struggle with living the day to day. “The circumstances are different for each person, but the feelings of being rejected, isolated, or heartbroken are crushing. What makes many of the situations much harder to bear is that you had no choice, no say in the matter.” (39) She also knows that Christians can struggle with the pain in life versus how they believe they should react or portray themselves, and the goodness of God. She takes all of that head on in this book. “Measuring our live and our service to Christ by whether we’re okay or not is a soul-destroying way to live.” (192) Of course, some of the funny scene are hilarious. SYJ did a great job in this role, being a cold ice princess, a crazy woman and also one who cares for people around her. Even my mum who wasn't a huge fan of kdrama commented that she acted really well in the initial episodes as a cold emotionless person.

It's important to remember that positive thinking skills are essential if we're to model such behaviours and attitudes to our children. The five children's storybooks that appeared in the drama were written by Jo Yong and illustrated by concept artist Jamsan. [23] They were published in Korean by Wisdom House in July and August 2020. [24] According to the Kyobo Book Centre and YES 24, all five books were listed in the top 20 bestselling books of the month. [23] Due to its popularity Kyobo Book Centre recorded a ninefold increase in the number of drama- and film-related books. [25] In 2021, all five books were translated by Woo Jae-Hyung into Brazilian Portuguese and published by Intrínseca in March and May. [26] No. The head nurse of the hospital. She is later revealed to be Do Hui-jae, the mother of Ko Moon-young, in disguise. As I write this, we are continuing to navigate our way through a global pandemic, and this clearly has implications for both our children and us as their carers who ultimately want to ensure that their mental health is protected and supported. Many of us will not feel safe, secure or simply ‘OK’.Support them to challenge underlying beliefs and thoughts.Negative and irrational beliefs and thoughts such as, " if I don't look perfect, no one will like me", or " I can't cope with difficult or scary situations", are significant factors in generating anxiety. Model and communicate ways to question and challenge anxiety-provoking thoughts and beliefs.

For some people, I can understand why this book can be helpful. Commiserating in the pain of grief can be it's own healing. For other people though, I honestly worry that this book can be damaging. The part about religion and it being basically a crutch to avoid fear of death was what finally made me stop reading. That God is capricious and decides who lives and dies. Who are we to know the mind of God? Very offensive to those who do believe. Fast forward in the present 20 years later the Head Nurse is the mother of Ko moyoung?! How can that be?!?! When the 1st mother was the one who came in at night feeling happy that she murdered someone, asked by her own dad. who happened to be the mother of Gang tae and SangTae!?!? I am past my divorce (mostly - it's a wound that has been scarred over, healed but still always there) and not having any issues in my life right now where I am desperate for help, but I have been there. And I wish Sheila had been there with me at that time. But it's okay. This book was one I loved even during this relatively peaceful time in my life, and there were many lines that I highlighted - many for future reference, whether it be tomorrow or five years from now.a b Kim, Jun-seok (August 9, 2020).
