About this deal

Ice Cube Kit:we suggest purchasing a selection of ice cube trays. Silicone styles are our favourite as they’re easy to clean and are available in various shapes and sizes. There’s no better way to familiarize yourself with the best Mango Collins then by planning a vacation to visit the world’s best gin distilleries. Just remember that strong flavours like citrus peel, chilli and fresh or dried herbs tend to be quite powerful in small amounts! I love it as it is, ice cold. It’s so subtle in its aroma and flavour that I find this the best way. So for this reason, I place mine in the freezer. Bring the island breeze. For an extra tropical hit, split the soda water amount with a splash of coconut water.

Adjust the sweetness. Got a sweet tooth? Use less lemon juice and add half a chopped banana to the muddle for a natural sweet boost. If you prefer this mix less sugary, add a dash of bitters to tone down the sweetness. Head on over to the Limoncello post to read up about freezing and abv. And watch the short video on my YouTube channel to see how the whole process is done. As with all my drink infusions, I advise you to get a fairly good quality vodka, the sort you’d be happy with to drink on its own. We’ve made the Italian Limoncello, Rhubarb Gin, Raspberry Gin and the old British classic, Sloe Gin, just to name a few. They all follow the same formula of adding fruit/vegetable to alcohol, with sugar added. Then on top of that, depending on the drink (and my mood when making it), I may add additional flavourings like a vanilla pod, herbs, lemon and lime slices, and even dried chillies. The Botanist: is produced by Bruichladdich Distillery on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. The famous Islay Scotch Distillery produces an aromatic gin whose ingredients are sourced locally. So that’s why I like dropping a dried chilli or two when making it. I think the smoky heat that chipotles give are a perfect complement, as is the fruity-raisin flavour of the ancho. Dillon’s Distillery: This Beamsvilleproducer makes small batch gins including rose gin, cherry gin and strawberry gin. Homemade Mango Liqueur, as it is, with nothing else added, may be a little on the tame side for those of you who’ve tried my other vodka infusions, like Krupnik and Strawberry and Rhubarb Vodka. This is because, as mentioned earlier, mango has a rather quiet disposition. Keeping it simple, that’s all you need. If you are feeling adventurous, I give you the option of adding a couple of chipotle chillies or 1 ancho chilli. The former will add a smoky heat to our homemade mango liqueur, while the latter will add a sweet, raisin like flavour.

So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look at Manly Spirits Co. ‘The Beaches’ Gin. How is it made? What does it taste like? How do you serve it? We’re revealing all below… How is Manly Spirits Co. ‘The Beaches’ Gin made? This homemade Mango Collins recipe features premium gin, mango puree, lemon juice, lemon bitters, soda water, lemon slice and dried mango garnish. So taste the gin at intervals, and once you’re happy with the flavour, filter out all the botanicals using a sieve. If there’s some sediment left in the liquid, use some muslin or a coffee filter to strain it again. Aviation Gin: is an American dry gin produced in Portland, Oregon. Canadian heartthrob from Vancouver, Ryan Reynolds is one of the distillery’s owners, swoon!Beware of leaving it too long and over-infusing the mixture, though - in the same way that a cup of tea with the teabag left in too long can taste horrible, so too can flavoured gin! Simple Syrup — This is a liquid water and sugar mixture. You can easily make this yourself or buy it pre-made. If you like the recipe, drop me a comment and if you’re feeling like a star, that 5-star rating! Thank you!♥
