The monitor contains a five-inch LCD display, with a housing that’s only slightly larger. This makes it big enough to see clearly, but small enough for easy positioning. You don’t have to worry about it obscuring your view. The monitor housing has a small nub antenna on top, which facilitates the wireless connection. There are also three buttons on the side, which allow you to navigate the menu and adjust the settings. It rests on a dashboard mount, and can be swiveled in multiple directions. Also, I want to show you the solar panel. It doesn’t have any buttons, but only a built-in power cable with microUSB port. Set-up was easy as there is just the receiver/monitor, power cable / power button, windshield mount, power cable, license plate holder/solar panel/camera, and USB micro charge cable. Note: Though the camera battery can be charged by the solar panel, it is good to fully charge the camera first using the micro USB cable. (A full charge took less than 30 minutes for me.)You will have the wire going from your windshield down to your cigarette lighter. If you're concerned about the aesthetics of not having a wire going across the front of your console, you will have to pop it out and bury the wire behind. This shouldn't be an issue on most vehicles. There are six sections in the menu, such as pair, BC control, MU control, Reversing time, guide line, and reset.
