First of all you need to be able to change the writing according to their age, and with in this book the language felt very off when the hero (Ian) and heroine (Harper) are children. They go from something that kind of looks like how children would talk, to talking about the greater good of their world. I don't have any children to myself, but to me that seem very far from something my nieces, nephews and great cousins would ever think about. Though, the setting is in a paranormal world, and Ian is a wolf shifter, things like that still needs to ring true. As a child Harper is indeed very lovable, kind, caring, humble and just cute! But as soon as puberty sets in, wow does it change! For a bonus we’ve added some werewolf names we found from tv, movies, books, and comics. Some of these might make great dog names as well, and you can try shortening them into a single name for something unique.Cara is not a strong FMC. She is a baker and fun loving with a huge heart. Glass makes this clear early on making it easier for me to enjoy Cara. No false expectations with this character. Her gift to rehab rejected wolves made the story very soft and sweet....know that up front if you are like me and got to me in the mood for that. When Cara's fated mate chooses to reject her and then sadistically torture her and send her to unwillingly participate in a werewolf fighting ring, her inner wolf becomes so emotionally broken that she refuses to emerge. The relationship that Cara has to her wolf, Ginger, is fascinating and adds a whole layer of emotional depth to her inner struggle as the book progresses. History

This story was interesting and had much potential, there were just little gaps that with better editing could gave been better. 4) Oh and I don't particularly want to read crude verbiage of 16yr old sex. I like that tone only with older hell 18 would have been better. 5) It also took 4 more years for Harper and Ian to be "outed" in a relationship and the other wolves never figured out who??? Unrealistic, they should have smelled it like they did her change. 6)The audiences is only shown Harper growing up and developing with Ian but no one else- the wolves were little more than rescued "pets' in a way and the title 7) Wolf Tamer was never truly explained- I'm guessing it was just a wolf whisperer like title, but whatever. 8) also that was a complete 180 for Sam's character- a tad more build up to that vs. just disappointing for most of the book would have been helpful. I really enjoyed getting the perspectives from her childhood to adulthood. I thought the author gave her a strong voice in both and her scenes were full of emotion and a good story.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the relationship between Harper and Ian because they started out as best friends and as the story progresses, they start to fall in love. Do we even need to talk about how the child characters don't act like children, but instead are tiny, immature teenagers? Kids are not that advanced at ages 5 and 7. This book also doesn’t have a lot of world building. What world has rare wolves with teal fur? What world has kids with naturally teal hair? I want to know about that world. I want to know what other weird things go on in that world. Breeding two wolves that recognize someone else as an owner causes the pup to also be owned by the owner of the original two wolves.
