It also screws with the balance of the switch, making it more top heavy, so if you're holding it horizontally, it could probably strain your hand a bit. It makes movement and aiming slightly more accurate/easier, but overall, the plastic is really cheap, and it is just uncomfortable and is less "grippy" and I constantly have to readjust my hands. It works out of the box with no issues, you can even connect it on a regular Windows computer/laptop and a PS5 and it has better and less buggy audio. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Other grips we've used stand up on their own, but the NeoGrip lays horizontal — better if you want to play some Clubhouse Games in two-player, perhaps. I find myself gladly playing with the snap grips with easy transitions between the Switch dock and the EDC carry case on the go. The white locking piece could be a concern for some as it can be easily lost, though in my experience it has never fallen out of its slot. For a large game controller with a screen, the Wii U Gamepad is so much more comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

We started with the latter 'Trigger Grip' variant, but ended up finding the largest ones most comfortable in our old-man mitts. I have no idea whether there is some minor size variability in the production or not, so maybe this is just an isolated case, but if you show me that an accessory is compatible with the dock I expect it to work without damaging (or risking to damage) the console, the dock or the screen protector every time I use it the way it is advertised. It's a minor difference that is barely noticeable in the flesh or when you slide it into the dock, but one that you'll definitely notice if you try to put the newer console into a grip designed for the original.You're never going to do better than a Pro Controller when it comes to extended gaming sessions, but this was a close second. The snap grips are the most minimal that offer just enough added size to make the Switch more comfortable than in its natural form.
