About this deal

While the novel was set to be published on February 5 (US) and February 7 (UK), the release date was unintentionally broken when it was revealed that a few copies were already being sold by some enterprising retailers as early as January 30 at an airport in Jakarta. [5] External links [ ] There are a couple of games based on the show, mainly mobile games. Characters and the Demogorgon from the show were featured in Dead by DaylightDLC but expired in November 2021. During development, Keery and the Duffers spoke about “what kind of family life [Steve] comes from and maybe this girl Nancy is quiet and listens in a way that other people haven't listened to him at this point.” [4] Costume design and styling

In the fall of 1983, Dustin, along with the Party, perceived Steve as nothing more than a douchebag. Honestly, the whole read is slightly depressing, because as anyone who’s watched “Stranger Things” knows, this is a world that’s RIFE with story-potential, that has all kinds of cool and exciting avenues to explore. Yet time and time again, writer Jody Houser seems determined to play things safe, choosing instead to either a.) recap stuff that we’ve already seen play out way more interestingly on the show, or b.) give us extended sequences where characters monologue about this thing or that thing, but overall, nothing of consequence really happens. Maybe it’s not her fault – perhaps Netflix and whoever is in charge of managing the property didn’t give her a lot of narrative leash to play with. But regardless of WHO’S fault it is, it doesn’t change the fact that, at the end of the day, “Volume I” is kind of a bummer to read.

So you just finished watching all seven supersized episodes of Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 and now you’re in the midst of withdrawals or post-series depression. I feel you. While waiting for the second part of season 4, why not look into all things related to Stranger Things? There’s more outside of the show like Stranger Things books and Stranger Things comics to enjoy! This is another upcoming Stranger Things novel that will take place between seasons 3 and 4. It focuses on Lucas.Dive into this revealing portrait of fan-favorite Lucas Sinclair and get to know Lucas like never before. The thrilling adventure of Stranger Thingscontinues where season three left off, with Lucas finally telling his own story in his own words. When Steve went to the Wheelers’ house to reconcile with Nancy, he was intercepted by Dustin, who urged Steve to come with him and to bring his spiked bat. On the way to his house, Dustin explained Dart to Steve, who initially believed that what Dustin found was some sort of lizard. When they entered the cellar, they discovered that not only had Dart molted again, but it had also escaped through a tunnel it had dug in the earth. A year later, in 1984, Steve and Jonathan were shown to still get along. During a party on Halloween night, Nancy drunkenly admits that she doesn't love Steve, causing him to storm out and ask Jonathan to take her home, showing that he trusts him. He accepts that he wasn't right for Nancy and allows her to pursue her feelings for Jonathan. Sometimes there are questions that should just remain unanswered for the greater good. Will Byers’ point of view was a mystery that could have stayed unsolved, leaving the viewers the opportunity to speculate on what he has been through and what was going through his head throughout the whole season. To try to cover all that ground within four issues was already, beforehand, an impossible task, or at least one that would come with severe flaws. In this case, the pacing was the biggest issue as the accelerated rhythm does not allow the reader to truly absorb and comprehend the amount of time Will Byers spends in this dark and sinister realm. The pacing does not also allow the reader to understand how much resilience was needed to fight through all the obstacles he faced. To deliver such a story simply takes away the stakes and gravity of what he goes through, even if it is for the sake of finding out what exactly it is he went through.

Le domande su Will che erano sempre rimaste in sospeso vengono adesso risolte e il tutto viene fatto in modo coerente e rispettoso della cronologia della prima stagione di Stranger Things. A month later, at Christmas, Steve and Nancy had reconciled and he spent Christmas Eve at the Wheeler household with her family. Steve had bought a camera for Jonathan to replace the one he broke, which he had Nancy give to him as a Christmas present. In 1984, following a falling-out with Nancy, Steve became an ally to the Party , especially Dustin Henderson, with whom he formed an unlikely friendship. He became a sort of authority figure for the party and became a major player in the battle against the Mind Flayer. There wasn’t any plot to this because the story starts right when Will is taken. If I wasn’t familiar with Stranger Things, I think I’d be lost and probably would’ve really disliked this book. There’s not much characterization here or any emotion between the characters. There are also important characters missing which makes this feel a bit empty and choppy, but I had to remind myself that this is meant to be solely Will’s perspective. I did appreciate the alternating time frames in between with Will and the gang playing their D&D game. Finally, we have Meddling Kids, an oft-featured favorite of ours on Reedsy Discovery and a quintessential read for Stranger Things and Scooby-Doo fans alike. What makes this book so great, you ask? Well, take a brazen group of crime-solving kids, add a spoonful of trauma from a night spent on a haunted lake, let it stew for thirteen years, and you’ve already got the perfect recipe for a dramatic reunion. Then sprinkle in tongue-in-cheek tropes and references to every “young detective” series over the past century — from Nancy Drew to the Famous Five — and you have a delightful mashup that’s equal parts brilliant homage and genuinely haunting horror, following a group of mystery-solvers determined to make sense of their nonsensical world. Not unlike a certain Netflix series we know. Though the original pitched vision was set in Long Island, the show found its fictional home in Hawkins, simply transplanting the existing lore of Camp Hero to create unforgettable characters like Eleven and this season’s central foe, Vecna/Henry/001. Everything people tell you is important, everything that people say you should care about, it's all just bullshit. But I guess you gotta mess up to figure things out, right?" It is December 26, 1984 – just a few weeks after Stranger Things season 2 – and as Jim Hopper and Eleven wait out a bad snowstorm, El decides to pull out a box from Hop’s days as a New York City homicide detective and make her newly-legally-minted father tell her the story about the time that he chased down a bizarre serial killer. Stranger Things: Darkness on the Edge of Town is set in July 1977, at a place and with characters that have very little bearing upon the Stranger Things full timeline – if any bearing at all, that is. Therefore, it's truly a standalone story. Given all the stirring supernatural talk surrounding this former government operation, the Duffer Brothers tapped into a well of existing interest and fuel for the imagination. Thus, by honing in on the bizarre, unnerving history surrounding Camp Hero State Park, the pair created a sci-fi horror adventure of a lifetime. The Stranger Things Franchise

After their talk, Steve dropped Robin off at Hawkins High and left to go work at his job at Family Video.Während Will in der Netflix-Serie immer ein wenig kindlich und naiv wirkt, ist er in "Die andere Seite" deutlich mutiger und entschlossener, als man ihn bislang kennen lernen durfte. The next day, Steve, who was still crushed by Nancy's hurtful confession, did not take Nancy to school, making her miss her first period class. While Steve was in gym class, he played basketball against Billy who taunted him, but Steve proceeded to ignore him, only for Billy to win the game. As Steve accepted his defeat, Nancy arrived at the gym to talk to him, leaving Steve not happy to see her. When they went outside to speak privately, Nancy tried to confront Steve on why he did not take her to school this morning, only for Steve to coldly shrug it off. When he asked Nancy what she remembered from the party last night, Nancy told him all she could remember was dancing, getting drunk, and going home where she believed Steve to have taken her, only for Steve to reveal that it was actually Jonathan who took her home. When Nancy became confused, Steve recounted the other events of the party to her, including where she blamed him and herself for causing Barb's death, how she felt about their relationship, and her confession of not loving him. Though Nancy tried to explain she was drunk and assure him that what she said wasn’t true, Steve asked her if she really does love him, but when she does not tell him upon his request, he left to continue the basketball match, leaving Nancy to realize how badly she had hurt Steve's feelings. Steve and Nancy Wheeler started dating around November 1983. They made out a couple of times and fooled around in the bathroom at school. On November 7, he convinced Nancy to go on a date with him. In the evening, Steve climbed in through her bedroom window and helped her study for a chemistry test. He suggested they should take their clothes off and was leading up to having sex with Nancy. Nancy stopped him and insisted they continue to study, for her chemistry test. Però, prima di commentare ciò che in quest'ultima stagione hanno vissuto i protagonisti, vi siete mai chiesti cos'è successo a Will durante la sua permanenza nel Sottosopra? I mean, yeah. Tammy Thompson, you know, she's pretty cute and all, but ... I mean, she's a total dud."
