Brave - He's also a very brave character. He braves the serum and does not hesitate to protect his friends when they're in danger. He goes into a mysterious cave with no warning of the dangers ahead, and does so much more that proves that he is a brave person. I've been skimming a lot with the last couple of books. The author continues to write them as young, idealistic and immature in a grim, darker world...but then their not. Characters and plots are getting more inconsistent as author continues to target early teens but subplots continue to grow with mature themes. Sometimes the MC'S are naive late teens, then they're more worldly n mature and then they're just kids. Is Lasgol going to survive this first year of instruction at the Rangers’ Camp? Or is he going to find out what happened to his dad? Is he going to be able to clear his name?

I find this series intriguing as it has so much to offer from magic to politics to youths being trained. While it feels in some ways as a coming of age series it really has so much more.Okay, I think I covered all the Snow Panthers. There were other characters, so I could go on, but I won't. I did like the other characters, tho!! Then Camou is always adorable, him being able to communicate more only made him even cuter and I think we’ll finally get some answers about him soon. Him being adopted by Snowflake was the cutest thing though. At the Camp he will find himself involved in political intrigues, disloyalties and murder. He will encounter hatred and fearsome enemies, but also a handful of friends, novices as much out of place as he is himself, determined to do whatever is necessary to pass the first year... without dying in the attempt. A kingdom in danger, a great betrayal, a boy seeking to redeem his father's honor. Will he succeed in exonerating him and saving the realm from an enemy in the shadows before it is too late for the whole North?

The Corrupt Lord of the Ice has been rejected. King Uthar is looking to kill him for good. Darthor has just retreated to the Frozen Continent with all of his forces. The King’s Secret” is the second novel in the “Path of the Ranger” series and was released in the year 2020. War’s broken out in the North. The Corrupt Lord of the Ice has just invaded Norghana with a host from the Frozen Continent. Are the Rangers and the King going to be able to stop him, or are they going to die trying? Ingrid is so sure of herself and it sometimes rubs me the wrong way. She is Miss Bossy most of the time but she does have a good heart and really seems to care about all of the Panthers. It is great to see Viggo really come into his own and prove his supreme competence and abilities, beyond just stealth to also being able to plan out complex missions and lead them to success.

I don't want to say too much so as to give anything away. But I believe that you will love this book and its characters (Perhaps even the hard headed ones or the ones you wouldn't imagine interacting with in real life) for one the political intrigue and mystery (and as mentioned above, the betrayals if I ignore the negative bits). I do think they should have let the king and his brother die because they really are terrible people and the world would be better off without them, but then again now we’ll get to see an unnamed person take the throne with some no doubt evil mastermind plans so that’ll be fun. Who will win in the civil war? Will the west be victorious or will it be the east? Will Lasgol and his friends survive the tribulations in which they will be involved? Will they decide the fate of Norghana with their decisions and actions? His other passion is reading. He defines himself as a fan of epic fantasy, science fiction and thrillers. Something else he is passionate about is running. He runs along the river in Bilbao near the Guggenheim Museum as an escape from all these ideas, although mostly to relax.

The King has summoned all the leaders of the Rangers to a Great Council in the capital to discuss the problem of the Dark Rangers. Lasgol and Astrid are traveling to Count Malason’s estate on a mission for Egil, stopping briefly at Lasgol’s home. Viggo and Ingrid are assigned to the Ranger escort for the five Elder Elite Specialists of the Shelter to the Council meeting. While Egil and Gerd have been assigned to the group escorting the traitor Eyra to Norghania, tasked to make sure she arrives alive. None of them are happy about the Kings involvement in what is supposed to be just for the leaders of the Rangers, but they have no say in it. One thing I despised though was when Gerd opened up about his past trauma was that they phrased their comforts as “you’ll get over it” like at least say something more along the lines of “you’ll get past this” or “you’ll let go of this” “you’ll overcome this” literally anything else! Because you don’t go and tell someone with trauma like that that they’ll “get over it”. That’s messed up and I feel the author could have done better at wording what the characters were trying to say in a better way.Sin embargo, la presión de ser los que se espera que pierdan y el tener que depender unos de otros en las pruebas por equipos, hacen que los chicos y chicas del equipo en el que está Lasgol vayan aprendiendo a confiar y apoyarse mutuamente. Lasgol and his companions are immersed in their missions as Specialist Rangers. The situations and problems they will face are much greater than they imagined. Lasgol is determined to clear his father's name, and to do this, he has only one option: attend the School of Rangers, a secret place where the respected and feared defenders of the lands of the kingdom are trained for four years. Going there is insane: Hate and death await him. But as the son of a Ranger, he's entitled to attend. However, Lasgol is now an orphan, and he is universally despised, since his father is an infamous traitor who died while trying to murder the king he had sworn to protect. All his possessions have been seized and Lasgol survives as servant to a ill-natured old soldier, while being the victim of all kind of mistreatment from the people who despise him. Lasgol and Astrid’s whole thing I’m not really sure what to think. They’re relationship seems to come out of nowhere and he literally knows nothing about her, Viggo probably knows her better than Lasgol does.
