About this deal

Wow, just wow, this is an incredibly powerful story! I have read quite a bit of really good historical fiction based around the events of the Second World War recently, but this one blew me away!

Like most people I imagine, I had never heard of Hannie Schaft, otherwise known as The Girl With the Red Hair, and so immediately started googling. She sounded like such a fantastic person and I'm glad she's been used as the inspiration for this novel. I also am ashamed to say I didn't know much about the Netherlands during World War 2, so that was also interesting to read. I think this would appeal to many different audiences: the history buff, those interested in the war, those interested in Dutch resistance, feminism literature lovers, romance fans, and anyone who wants an enjoyable, thrilling but powerful read.

I’m going with the green hair book, due to the online bundle. We are buying a class set of books to stay in school and all homework etc will be set using the online bundle. I think it’s well worth the investment, it has fantastic resources on there for teachers as well as students, for example links to clips, online quizzes with answers to allow students to mark etc. I think it’s fab, so far everything matches up well with the spec too (I’m as far as planning for the second paper now) so have really studied it.” Cara Flanagan is one of the best-known and most respected authors for A Level Psychology. A practised teacher with examining experience and a well-known conference presenter, Cara is renowned for creating resources that students love to use. Evaluation extra’ provide a slightly elaborated version with a conclusion to model for students how they can extend their points and provide a conclusion. I haven't seen a single review of it yet, and that's a shame. Because this book is a powerful testament to one women's fight against fascism and hate.

I have read many war books - WW1 and WW2 - and this is possibly one of the best about the Second World War that I've read. It's hard to put into words why - which as a book review, seems like a problem. But I implore you to read this and hopefully you'll know what I mean. There aren't the words to give this the recognition it deserves, it is simply spellbinding. Lifelines’ are very straightforward, easy-to-digest key descriptive points for the spread topic. Ideal for students struggling to grasp the essential pointEn este libro hay un pequeño romance, hay una revolucionaria que haría cualquier cosa por ayudar a sus seres queridos. Un libro que habla sobre resistencia, amor a la patria y verdad. I am always drawn to Historical Fiction, particularly WWII! When reading, I’m hopeful of triumph over evil! Digital version of the 2nd Edition Year 1 & AS Student Book your students can access wherever they are online. I’ve buddy read this with Lucy and we both agreed how much we’ve learnt and how much we admire what Hannie stood for, what she fought for and her resistance work with Truus and Freddie was simply awe inspiring.
