I watch it with my 8 year old son. He is absolutely obsessed with it. He’s 8 but we haven’t sheltered him from much at all growing up. He watched Deadpool (over and over) at age 6 with no issues. Demon Slayer is amazing for adults. The storyline is brilliant. Everything is well thought out and detailed. The characters are well developed and you develop emotional attachment to them. There is a lot of Japanese culture in the series and the animation is beautiful at times. The series explores what it means to be human and the different personalities in our world. It gets pretty deep. It was a pretty violent show but is not as gory as other animes. I think it deserves it's MA15+ but would be okay for some children if they are mature and have watched other animes. And besides the anime is not that graphic in violence.

Adult supervision recommended, especially if your child has nightmares about their parents or family being murdered. My daughter honestly didn’t get bothered much by it, but some others may have. It also does have some swearing here and there, but nothing too bad from what I’ve seen. I know this review is getting long so let’s wrap it up. My daughter really liked it, and the only way to really judge it is by watching it yourself. Not exactly family friendly, but some may really enjoy it. It’s based on what type of things your kid can and can’t handle. so i will admit most people would say this is 14+ but while i do agree with that at my age of 12 the story quite apeals and it has great role models so for all the good there is the bad, the tons of violence but trust your instincts so you decide but take this to heart Demon Slayer has lots of scary imagery, since it's about. And, even some of the situations the characters are in can frighten some viewers, such as the main character's family being slaughtered by the hands of a demon lord. I'm pretty sure there is some alcohol references, but I'm not sure. There is a lot of blood and a little bit of gore, usually when they chop off a demon's head. There is a few characters (Zenitsu, Tengen) who love women a lot but don't say anything too explicit. There is also a girl who wears something revealing (Mitsuri), but she is not sexualized. Demon Slayer has some good morals, such as moving on and never giving up. Unlike some anime, this has a good message! The story of Demon Slayer takes place in a world where demons roam and terrorize humans. The main characters are demon hunters, individuals who fight to protect humans from demons and to avenge loved ones they have lost.
