About this deal

Here are some great icebreaker questions you can ask! Icebreaker Questions to Get to Know Your Teammates People don’t need to share their location or name their city if they feel uncomfortable. The point is to showcase everyone’s workplace setting because it speaks to their personalities. I really enjoyed reading this book because it has a great overall message in the story. ‘Its okay to be different’ This really comes across in the book and I like the added touch at the end (The author, Tom Fletcher, wrote a song to go with the book called Different and there are the lyrics and a QR code to hear him sing it). This is fun at first, but when children are free to run wild someone needs to step up, an unlikely hero and thats when Lucy discovers the Creakers under her bed. Begins with a premise that doesn’t bear examination and goes badly off the rails toward the end: skip.

Best For: Sparking curiosity, igniting laughter, and providing a unique, tactile team-building experience. We begin and the story was up and running. We are introduced to Lucy and learn about her family circumstances. Just her and her Mom since her Dad left. Lucy wakes up one morning and her Mom is gone; and not just her Mom but all the adults. Make a timetable showing the activities that you would try if you woke up and there were no grown-ups for a day. Use this to make up some word problems to challenge others. Set up the game’s variables—the starting letters (a majority will be preset), player count, and round numbers. For example, I recently shared in my weekly team meeting a small personal item: a llama doll I received from one of my friends! It was a great way to show to my remote team how I value small gifts from friends, and an easy icebreaker, too. Win-win! Icebreaker #2: Teach Something NewMy son received this book as a gift for his 9th birthday.... He hasn't been able to put it down. Amazing story by Tom and we love the personal notes after each chapter. A MUST READ!! End the Story: Eventually, the story will reach a natural conclusion. Typically, the facilitator or someone who senses a good ending coming might say “And” and the next person can say “The” and then “End” to wrap it up. s Nachts ziet Lucy 4 paar ogen in haar kamer. Dit zijn de Knerpers! Ze zijn een beetje raar, maar ook wel weer heel leuk! Ontdek het zelf in dit prachtige verhaal. GeoGuessr does cost a small monthly fee for team play, although it is still recommended. Icebreaker #9: Phone Photo

Edit: SBC 3 (An Adventure Story) The children end up going on an adventure under their beds. The book follows the structure of an adventure story and contains the key features. I would use it in the classroom as an example of an adventure story. Write some dialogue between two Creakers. What might they say to each other? What unusual words and phrases do they use? Start the Game: The first person begins the story by saying a single word. It’s often easiest to start with “Once,” but any word that can start a story is fine. There was a catch. Half of the teams were asked to do a pre-scavenger hunt icebreaker together, and the other half were simply asked to read an article together. After both people have answered and the two-minute timer is up, have them find a new partner and assign them a new conversation starter. Want a fun way to make a meeting more… dare I say… delicious? Enter: the Partner Lunch. This icebreaker requires a bit of prep work with your team, and it’ll be better if you’re in similar time zones. This fun-filled activity not only adds a splash of color and joy to your meetings but it also nudges team members to showcase their creative sides and storytelling skills. Let’s see how you can get this show on the road:

The one word that Tom Fletcher has used repeatedly to describe his second novel in the lead up to its release is 'disgusting', and I have to say I completely agree with him (in a good way!) Best For: Creative builders looking to showcase teamwork and engineering skills with a side of sweet victory. This is my favorite icebreaker, because you combine easy bonding with the best possible ingredient: sugar! To coordinate this icebreaker: If you ever doubted that dinosaurs and Christmas would work well together, read this book. It is bursting with loveable characters, fast-paced adventure and, of course, Christmas spirit. Lucy’s dad said that “Sometimes people who are different get laughed at, but it’s always the different ones who make a difference.” What does it mean to be different? How are you similar / different to others? How should we treat people who are different from ourselves? How can you make a difference? The Personal Logo icebreaker is a fantastic way to get your team’s creative juices flowing. It’s not just about doodling a pretty image—it’s a window into each person’s world, reflecting their personality, interests, or passions. Here’s how to get this activity buzzing: See that awesome girl on the front cover in the dungarees? That’s Lucy Dungston, she’s the hero of this story – she just doesn’t know it yet! She’s smart, brave and maybe a little messy from time to time. But she’s exactly who you need when the Creakers start making mischief. Look closely and you’ll see she’s wearing goggles on the top of her head – now, why could that be?! Best For: Harnessing creativity, boosting team spirit and light-hearted competition through drawing and guessing. Lucy becomes the leader and tries to discover why the parents left while helping all the children. Enter The Creakers..... How open are you to new experiences? Are you extroverted or more introverted? Are you agreeable? See your traits in our Personality Test!

Until, one morning, Lucy discovers that all the grown-ups have disappeared - as if into thin air. Chaos descends as the children in Lucy's town run riot. It's mayhem. It's madness. To most kids, it's amazing! Best For: Injecting fun into mundane schedules, sparking adventurous spirits, and stirring up the team’s inner explorers. Not all meetings nowadays are in-person. Some are virtual. These fun icebreakers can be performed anytime, anywhere, no matter the distance! Icebreaker #1: Show and Tell Do you prefer to have clear guidelines or do you like having the freedom to figure things out yourself? Next, pass around the bowl and ask people to take as many candy pieces as they like, but NOT to eat them. It's quite a chunker, but the font is big and it has a lot of illustrations, so don't be intimidated by the size! Harvard Business School professor Michael Norton gathered 221 participants and had them form groups of two to four people. Norman Quirk collected achievement badges on his Scout uniform. Could you design some new badges for him? If your team enjoyed this, you could even consider having these personal logos professionally made or used in some team swag! Maar die glinsteringen draaien niet alleen door in de kaft. Eenmaal je in het boek zit, snap je wel waar dat stof voor dient, maar haast je zodat jij er niet door beneveld geraakt.
