A solvent based paint that can be used to seal patches of damp with just one coat – it prevents damp from penetrating and showing through walls and ceilings and works to stop damp from showing any signs on the surface eliminating stains and streaks that can often occur. You can use paint with Adiseal waterproof sealant. For oil or solvent-based paints, conducting a small area test is wise. Apply the sealant to a disposable item, let it cure, then apply the paint, observing if any peeling occurs. While most paints work fine with Adiseal, testing ensures compatibility, especially with certain types. Rot in timber can be a major cause of structural damage to your home and occurs primarily due to damp or poor ventilation. It can be very serious – if you suspect you have rot, you should call in specialist help.
