About this deal

The included remote controller works with your existing smartphone to control the Mavic Air 2 and view live footage from the drone. It’s constructed with a comfortable and ergonomic grip and provides up to 4 hours of battery life. Integrated antennas help to improve the signal performance. Specifications Performance The UK is still currently in #stayathome mode, however that has not stopped DJI from releasing their brand new upgraded DJI Mavic Air 2 Drone and Fly More Combo. We take a look at the full specs for all budding videographers and aerial photographers. We are very excited by the number of upgrades, take a look and see if you agree.

The DJI Mavic Air 2 can shoot in 4K at 60 frames per second. The new camera also records video at 120 Mbps bitrate (up from 100 Mbps), beating other DJI consumer models. Additionally, the camera can capture 1080p slow-motion video at 120 and 240 fps. Other key features Mavic Air 2 supports normal video at up to 4K/60fps and HDR video at up to 4K/30fps. Slow-motion videos are available in 1080p with up to 240 fps (8x slow-motion). With a weight of 570g, it's just over half the weight of the Mavic 2 Pro, making it a highly portable, and indeed powerful, drone for both photographers and filmmakers. Depending on where you live, it's worth noting that this also means you may need to register the Mavic Air 2 (see the "Will I need to register the DJI Mavic Air 2?" section below). Stay safe while in flight with AirSense technology. It utilizes an ADS-B receiver and satellite positioning to warn you of other nearby aircraft. DJI Fly App Vision positioning requires non-reflective, discernable surfaces, and adequate lighting. Available at altitudes from 0.5-30 m. The vertical and horizontal positioning accuracy is within ±0.1 m.This is a big boost over the original Mavic Air's 21-minute flight time and is even three minutes longer than the Mavic 2 models. While that doesn't sound much, you really do notice the increased flight duration and slower battery drain. The controller also provides increased battery life compared to its predecessor. Yes. Mavic Air 2 has an auxiliary light for improved vision and safety, similar to the Mavic 2 series. OcuSync 2.0 supports both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands. It features stronger interference resistance due to automatic frequency switching, delivering 1080p video transmission feeds at up to 10 km (when unobstructed, free of interference, and FCC-compliant). When shooting videos, a Quad Bayer filter allows the camera to control the use of short, medium, and long exposure times in the same pixel array, which results in higher dynamic range. For photos, the filter allows for taking high-resolution photos of up to 48 MP. Finally, Scene Recognition is a mode that can recognize five scene types – sunsets, blue skies, grass, snow, and trees, and optimizes settings in in-camera JPEG processing to each. Again, this can be achieved manually in Raw processing software such as Adobe Lightroom. The great thing here though is that regardless of how experienced you are at photography, everyone is catered for.

A robust 3500mAh battery can keep the Mavic Air 2 flying for up to 34 minutes at a time. While in the air, you can fly the drone at speeds up to 43 mph up to 11.5 miles away. The included remote controller supports OcuSync 2.0 technology to provide you with flight telemetry data and a live view of what the drone sees on your attached smartphone. It can transmit up to 1080p quality video from up to 6.2 miles away. Altogether, the Mavic Air 2 gives you the tools you need to expand your filmmaking with creative and professional quality aerial footage. ND Filter Set (ND16, ND64 & ND256): Three ND filters let you reduce incoming light and glare in your footage Beyond the safety improvements, the Mavic Air 2 has inherited many advanced features from both the Mavic Pro 2 and professional drones to provide smart capabilities in automated flight modes for capturing still and video. In terms of safety features, the Mavic Air 2 provides obstacle sensors of the front and rear of the drone that, when switched on, can help to avoid collisions. These are turned on by default, and for most people keeping them turned on is the best option. That's not the end of the safety features either. You also get Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS) 3.0, which when enabled will reroute the drone when obstacles come into its path. The idea behind this is that pilots can confidently fly in more complex locations without fear of crashing. WayPoint: Set a specific, savable flight path (up to 5 points) in 3D space for a single time-lapse, or for multiple shots at different times to edit together later. SmartPhoto HyperLapse: Mavic Air 2 is the first done to feature 8K Hyperlapse for stunning footage to share with the world. Users can additionally choose lower resolutions including 4K, 2.7K, and 1080. Note that 8K Hyperlapse will be available in mid-May 2020 via a firmware update.

Capture stunning 4K/60fps footage or frame up a detailed 48MP HDR photo with Mavic Air 2.

An Improved 2nd Generation

Precision Measurement Range: 0.35-22.0 m Detection Range: 0.35 to 44 m Effective Sensing Speed: 12 m/s Field of View (FOV): 71° (horizontal), 56° (vertical) There is also an 'Aeronautical Knowledge and Safety Test' being developed for recreational drone pilots, but it's not yet clear when this will be introduced. Minutes of flight time: Combining updates in battery technology, weight of the drone, an aerodynamic design, new motors/ESCs, the Mavic Air 2 features a max flight time of 34 minutes. Please note, due to the way drones are designed, longer flight times are achieved when the drone is in motion vs. hovering.
