I know journaling markers and high-end art markers are marketed toward totally different users, but I do expect my markers to not look streaky when I have to fill something in. This means that to highlight a whole line in my Moleskin journal, it takes two swipes. This means it is quite streaky, unfortunately. The saturation of the mildliners leaves a trace where you can clearly see that two (or more) strokes have overlapped. While many people don’t like the aesthetics of it, what worries me is the fact that mildliners could bleed on the other side of the paper. I like to look at how aggressive the overlap color differentiation looks. I prefer my markers to have a natural-looking overlap. Do They Have a Good Color Selection?

Saturation occurs when you add one (or more) stroke(s) on top of another stroke or when 2 strokes of ink overlap on the paper. I also tested the pens on normal printing paper, in case you are highlighting text for school, and the results were the same; some ink colors, especially the darker mildliner shades, showed bleeding at the end and start of the stroke.Highlighter pens are a must-have stationery item, whether it’s for work, revision and reference or planning. They're perfect for highlighting important notes in your notebook when revising for exams and reviewing documents. As you can see from the image there is slight ink ghosting on the other side of the paper, and a tiny little bit of bleeding from the beginning and end of the stroke where they saturate the paper a little more. Perhaps one day I will find a journaling marker that does not do this, but until then the Zebra Mildliners still perform pretty well, and remain a staple in my kit. As a highlighter personally I don’t think these are the best around. I much prefer the Bic grip highlighters or the Stabilo Boss.While MILDLINER Double-Ended Creative Highlighters and Dual-Tip Brush Pens are a great creative tool all on their own, there are plenty of other Zebra Pen products that will help you maximize your creativity. Try pairing some of these other creative tools with the MILDLINER brand and let your imagination run free. There are two color sets released for this year. If you are looking for earth tone colors, I recommend the Natural color set. But if you're someone who likes to keep their notes lively but not overwhelming to the eyes, then I recommend you the Gentle color set. I have listed below the color sets and the colors so you can have a guide on which you'd like to buy. You can buy these colors individually or you can go for the color sets which are really lovely combinations. I want to be able to take one set of markers with me when I travel and not feel like I am wasting space in my bag on markers that are hard to pair side by side.
