His music for this series is iconic, and it was tremendous fun to play within that sonic universe, while adding some new layers of madness to fit Craig and Neil's incredible vision for this show. Fans who are awaiting more information on the film version of The Last of Us, as well as the rumored The Last of Us sequel, won't find much consolation in this record. This 4 LP Box set, housed in a heavy duty slip case, contains every audio cue from the massive hit game including cues from the 2014's DLC "Left Behind.

But the quality of the pressing is poor, there are cracks (I knew it was going to be of poor quality) it’s a real shame!

The 2013 action-adventure game The Last Of Us was originally published in 2013 by Sony Computer Entertainment and was developed by Naughty Dog. Fans of this recording method and The Last of Us will be happy to know that the game is also getting the vinyl treatment. No surface noise (I had a couple of pops and cracks, but after a good cleaning they disappeared),warm, you can almost feel and taste all the colours and textures of the game while LISTENING. The game received critical acclaim, with praise for its narrative, gameplay, visuals, sound design, characterization, depiction of female characters.
Wonderful themes, imaginative instrumentation, great memories of playing the game through 10 years ago now. The hype sticker on my copy has the same information as the gold one, but it’s silver and has the ‘at the movies’ logo on top with a smaller ‘music on vinyl’ logo underneath it. The Argentinian composer also created the music for the series Jane The Virgin and Netflix' Making A Murderer.

Even at its most aggressive, I wanted the music to feel derived from the real world - bowed steel, cracking wood - these are sounds for a civilization that has rusted and warped.Also was very excited about the cover having original art rather than the usual Mondo "fan art" that I am not a *fan* of. In the original, the plucky guitar performance by Gustavo Santaolalla almost singlehandedly took the post-apocalyptic horror narrative of the game and grounded it firmly in the western genre. The soundtrack is set to include both the original soundtrack from the base game, as well as the soundtrack to the prequel DLC, The Last of Us: Left Behind. I'm so thrilled to be releasing our soundtrack for this newest chapter in the story of THE LAST OF US” adds composer David Fleming. Tiny nitpick: I wish the poster and insert were handled with better care, those creases are starting to be a new pet peeve.Included on over 240 Game Of The Year lists, Naughty Dog's survival horror masterpiece features a soundtrack that rivals some of greatest film scores of the last ten years. The Last of Us was one of the most emotionally-driven games to date, and the music playing during all of its poignant scenes were a big part of its emotional impact. Whether or not the average gamer has a record player capable of playing back the records, some are happy to see these records produced, if only for the large, detailed box art. Apparently the box on the second press is a tiny bit larger than the first press, but it's not something you'd notice unless you compared them side by side.
