About this deal

In this article, we provide the retirement dates of all LEGO Star Wars sets currently on sale, including those leaving shelves in just a few months time. 2023 From the swamps of Dagobah™ to the halls of the infamous Death Star, our collection of LEGO® Star Wars™ dioramas puts adult fans right at the heart of iconic scenes from the saga.

I didn’t really like the chin strap, and the microphone/communicator, as they’re quite flimsy, and I found them constantly dislodging themselves while I was handling the helmet. I actually think the helmet looks better without them. The orange visor is probably the least accurate, as the dip in the middle feels too deep, but I learned from the designers that this was a particularly challenging part of the model, as they needed to use trans-orange elements, that were as clear as possible, and many iterations led to this one. Each diorama depicts action from recognizable Star Wars™ locations, complete with authentic details to bring the display to life. Join Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca to escape the Death Star’s trash compactor, complete Jedi training alongside Luke and Yoda on Dagobah, or fly through the forests of Endor™ on a speeder bike. Whichever scene you choose to recreate, a rewarding and nostalgic building experience awaits!

If you’re a Star Wars fan, and looking for a great display piece that isn’t a ship, or large UCS model, I can highly recommend this set, especially if you have the other Helmets from the collection. Step-by-step guide - Are you a newcomer to LEGO construction sets? No problem. There are clear, illustrated instructions in the box, so you can build with the confidence of a Jedi Master As the first attempt at an open-faced helmet within the Star Wars universe, 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet is a success. It looks pretty accurate, is full of authentic detailing and captures the unmistakable look of the X-wing pilot’s headgear very well. Designing it to resemble a helmet on a plinth rather than a hybrid between a full head and helmet like the Batman cowls was a smart move that’s paid off.

X-Wing Starfighter™

It also looks like the Ahsoka sets that were released earlier this month may not hang around for long as they are planned to leave at the end of 2024. Whether you’re a valiant rebel fighter or a temptingly powerful Sith Lord, there’s no better way to showcase your loyalty – or demonstrate your LEGO building prowess – than with our range of beautifully crafted LEGO® Star Wars™ Helmets. Luke Skywalker’s Red Five helmet is a superb addition to the LEGO Star Wars Helmet collection, and one that would look incredible displayed alongside the other helmets, or next to a LEGO X-Wing. Ideally the UCS Red Five X-Wing Starfighter. The details are spot-on, and despite some minor niggles like the fidgety chin strap, this is by far one of my favourite LEGO Star Wars helmets yet, as it looks great displayed on its own, or with the other helmets in the collection. The open face nature of the helmet is brand new territory for LEGO, and they’ve done a decent job here with it, and it doesn’t feel as empty like the LEGO Batman cowls.

Prepare to take on the Empire with the Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet (75327) – or if you're yearning for the dark side, let our menacing replica of the mighty Darth Vader™ Helmet (75305) be your ultimate symbol of power. There is a lovely foreword and introduction by LEGO Star Wars Creative Director, Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, and the iconic shot of the X-Wings on the Death Star trench run. As with all of the LEGO Star Wars Helmets, no minifigures are included with the set. This is not the section you are looking for. Move along, move along. — Price — When looking at the piece count, 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet is in-keeping with previous models and feels fairly priced. However, the build feels more comparable with the considerably cheaper 75305 Scout Trooper Helmet, which offered an equally short construction experience.

Details

If this set was priced slightly cheaper, it would feel like better value for money. Whether that will be an issue comes down to what you place more importance on when purchasing a set: if it’s the final model then this will prove to be a decent buy. If it’s the build, you might want to look at other, more involved helmets before this one. — Pictures —
