About this deal

In John Wick: Chapter 4, there are more than 30 minutes of movie than the longest John Wickfilm, allowing it to breathe with more character development, world-building, and big set pieces.

I'm hoping the slipbox is solid instead of flimsy (is it too much to hope for a Zavvi caliber slipbox? The folder and hotel key for the Continental Japan are nice touches and I really like the character cards. I know there were two steelbook variants available and this was definitely my preferred version, very happy with this purchase. One Steelbook set comes with a nice added touch of a printed sleeve that gives dual options for presentation of Wick himself (seen below), although you have to fork out above the odds for that added bit of plastic. With a style not seen since The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi, Caine shows that a killer’s greatest instincts come not from his eyes, but from his mind. The Ultra HD Blu-ray delivers an absolutely spectacular native 4K presentation with Dolby Vision HDR, which laps up the stunning cinematography on offer.

For the week that ended on July 29th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Resident Evil: Death Island topped the Blu-ray-only chart in its debut. In Honor of the Dead: In creating John Wick: Chapter 4, Chad Stahelski drew on references from some of the greatest films ever made.

Detail is excellent, with superior fine detail from the outset, with the lavish trappings of the exquisitely chosen sets and settings affording a wonderful sandbox for the image to lap up every little texture and minute observation. We also explore the more refined looks of the Marquis and the Old West-inspired garb of the Tracker. All this is true in John Wick: Chapter 4 as the franchise comes to a head, at least for a little while, until Part Five.

But if it is the last John Wick, then it's a solid finale with all the cracking action, bone-crunching martial arts, and colourfully staged insanity that fans have come to expect from the saga. John Wick: Chapter 4 enjoys another wild reference Atmos track to leave it standing proudly alongside its preceding instalments in terms of sheer bombast and ballistic brutality. The Psychology of a Killer: Chad Stahelski explores the psychology of John Wick, a character who, despite four films, is still a mystery in many ways. But really, we're looking towards the effects and score to elevate this and leave it defined as a demo/reference track, which they do. and uses a Wide Colour Gamut (WCG), High Dynamic Range and Dolby Vision, and is encoded using the HEVC (H. He's the most cowardly of all the villains in the franchise so far, which makes him much more nefarious and unlikable with no redeeming quality.
