About this deal

The case is TSA approved and can hold between six and eight insulin vials or pens, depending on your prescription brand.

The uniqueness of this insulin-carrying case is that by changing the lids, you can easily transform the bottle from a regular medication cooler into a mini-fridge. The USB function can maintain a constant temperature of around 27°F (15°C) lower than the outside temperature. A very cool feature is that it has a temperature indicator to indicate temperature drops and protect your insulin from freezing or getting too hot. It will keep your medication cool at all times. Keep an accurate testing routine up to make sure your insulin hasn’t been affected. Should I give my insulin to the cabin crew? Once or twice daily long acting insulin (e.g. Lantus, Levemir, Degludec) + rapid acting insulin with meals (e.g. Humalog, Apidra, NovoRapid)We’ll cover some of the most common features in insulin coolers below, so you know what to look for when shopping for these accessories. Both of them fit about 2 insulin pens, and I'm not sure on insulin vials yet, but I'll let you know when I know!

This is probably the least favourite of the insulin travel cases I’ve come across, not because I don’t think it’s useful, but I don’t think it’s a good choice for travelling with type 1 diabetes. Most types of CGM/Freestyle Libre sensors and insulin pumps can be taken through the metal detector arches that you walk through. X-ray luggage scanners, body scanners and CGMS and pumps Always carry insulin and/or other injectable therapies in your hand luggage as they may freeze in the hold. Holds a smaller amount of insulin (this is coming from someone who goes on VERY long trips, so I think for the average diabetic taking an average trip it would suffice!)-- I know they have a BreezyMega coming soon which will be perfect for longer trips. Low and behold, I found a few other products, so here is a complete comparison of all the insulin travel cases I found on the web and the benefits of each!Once at destination move to a convenient time but if this is shorter than 12 hours since your last injection you may need to give a smaller amount of your rapid acting insulin with your last meal. I’ve spoken lots of times about ways to keep our insulin cold when travelling, but I’ve mainly put my focus on Frio bags. put insulin in your hand luggage – the hold of the plane will be too cold and could damage the insulin
