The seeming defeat is soon partly reversed, however, when Nori reveals that she and Elina had swapped the Immunity Berry during the heat of the chase with a similar-looking substitute - one of the berries that reveals the eater’s true self which they somehow painted a red stripe onto to make it look exactly like the Immunity Berry.

Meanwhile, in the Bogs of the Hinterlands, Laverna takes a bite from the True Self Berry thinking it's Immunity Berry and finds herself transformed into a toad. Dahlia tells Elina that Laverna found a way to suck the powers from the fairy guardians' necklaces and transfer them to herself, stating that the "union point" would be its weakness. Prince Nalu has been kidnapped in an attempt to learn the whereabouts of a special berry that will make Laverna the most powerful fairy in Fairytopia - even more powerful than the Enchantress!

After being turned away when they ask to see Azura, Elina and Bibble sneak to Azura's house, where she is discovered by Azura herself. She is soon sought out by a juvenile sea-butterfly fairy who witnessed Nalu, the merprince Elina had befriended in the previous movie, being kidnapped by several of Laverna's goblin-like Fungi at the Crystal Cove. Excellent, the best of the fairytopia's DVDs, Magic of the Rainbow is very nice as well, but my daughter prefers Mermaidia, as it is full of different characters, on land and in the ocean, and also really funny! The two reach Delphine together, and Elina impresses Nori with her flying, prompting her to finally begin dropping some of her hostility. Nori presses onward, telling Elina to wait for her, but is soon entrapped by the fronds of one of the hostile sea plants growing on the shaft’s walls and starts yelling to Elina for help.

In the morning, Elina and Bibble awaken to see that Peony as well as all the other fairy homes in the meadow are sick from Laverna's formula. The only people who know the location of Delphine are the merfairies, who are too childlike to take any situation seriously and so are nearly impossible to speak with. The plot focuses on Elina and other fairy apprentices who are chosen for the annual "Flight of Spring" to create the first rainbow of the season using magic. She tells them to travel to the bottom of the Depths of Despair to find the Mirror of the Mist, which will lead them to him.

Barbie: Mariposa, alternatively Barbie Fairytopia: Mariposa, Barbie as Mariposa and Barbie: Mariposa and her Butterfly Fairy Friends, is the first spin-off film to Barbie: Fairytopia and the 12th Barbie film overall [17] [18] which was released on February 26, 2008, and it made its American television premiere on Nickelodeon on March 2.

When Nori is talking to the Merfairies, she turns around and puts her hands on her hips at the sight of Elina, but when Elina approaches her, her arms are crossed. When the group finally reach Dahlia’s home, she is reluctant to help as the other guardians were mistrustful of her, but Elina convinces her to do the right thing.

When Elina and Bibble are at one of the Merfairies' houses, the Merfairy grabs Elina a plate of food with brown handles on the sides, but they disappear in an overhead shot. Elina, however, doesn’t quite believe Delphine and refuses, having just gained wings recently after a lifetime without them, and says she can’t give them up.The fish uses her magic on the pearl showing an image of Nalu hanging suspended in the air by his tail from a stone arch and creating a magical bubble for them to follow on the next leg of their journey. Nori however, recognizes the cave and sees it as the right path to the location they saw in the Mirror of the Mist when it showed them Nalu.
