The products are good to use and do not leave any greasy residues. They do an excellent job of cleansing and moisturising the skin. The Daily Cleanser foams nicely and doesn’t dry the skin out and has a quite nice but subtle smell. Also contains skin barrier nourishing and hydrating ingredients: Ceramides, Glycerin, Panthenol (Vitamin B5) and Vitamin E, for soft, smooth skin.

The PURIFIDE range is doing an excellent job of reducing spots, stopping breakouts, hydrating and moisturising all to give spot-free healthy looking skin. Helping to control excess oiliness, Purifide Oil Control Moisturiser is non-comedogenic, and enriched with Whitewood Bark Extract to help absorb excess oil and refine pores for a mattified yet radiant complexion. With Christmas nearly upon us the PURIFIDE skincare products would make a good gift for teenagers who are worried about spots and how they look. You don’t need to buy the full range, you can mix and match to get what works best and having beautiful blemish-free skin will boost confidence and help reduce anxiety levels in teenagers and anyone that worries about their skin. Purified Oil Control Moisturiser is an effective mattifying moisturiser that helps to keep blemish-prone skin hydrated and clear. Formulated with pore-refining Whitewood Bark Extract along with natural plant extracts, it is clinically proven to provide long-lasting 24-hour hydration and a matte finish, while controlling excess oil and shine for clear, clarified skin. Overall, we (or should I say the teenager of the house) have been using the PURIFIDE products for just over a week now. Whilst they haven’t cleared up her skin yet there is a noticeable improvement and seem to be working (which she is delighted with) and she reports that her skin feels softer. She also has sensitive skin and hasn’t had any kind of reaction whilst using the PURIFIDE range.The only downside? This is SPF30, rather than 50. I prefer SPF50 in the summer months, especially if I’m abroad. If you’re fair and use active (retinol, acids and the like), I’d recommend that you do the same. The Cetaphil Daily Defence SPF50 is a good one to try, though it’s definitely heavier and a little greasier than this one. I’ve only tried this SPF in the autumn and winter months, so I can’t comment on its sun-protecting properties. However, it contains both UVA and UVB protection, so I’m confident it’s doing its job in that department.

It really does have a variety of very important functions and deserves to be looked after. As we have a teenage girl in the house that can be prone to spot outbreaks, we were happy to try out Purifide, a new range of clear skin daily skincare, from the makers of Acnecide. Whilst they are quite expensive products for the amount you get, they do seem to be doing an excellent job of getting rid of the spots she already has and preventing other breakouts. By helping to cleanse her skin and reduce and prevent breakouts these products are also helping to relieve the anxiety caused by the breakouts. For a teenage girl having blemish-free skin is big thing and does help with confidence and worry around spots.But what about its moisturising powers? It’s average. As someone who uses tretinoin (which is super drying), this isn’t enough on its own. I have to apply a separate moisturiser underneath, though that doesn’t bother me too much. Purifide Daily Moisturiser SPF30 is a lightweight non-greasy moisturiser specifically formulated for hydrating and protecting sensitive spot-prone and acne-prone skin. Containing a barely-visible UVA/B sunscreen, this is suitable for a wide range of skin tones and skin types. UV protection for spot and blemish prone skin is important as it can help prevent uneven tones and dark marks.
