A Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War trailer preview video was also released during the Jump Festa 2022 event. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Bleach series, creator Tite Kubo released a new one-shot chapter in the latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

With well over 600 chapters, it was one of the biggest shonen manga series of the 2000s and early 2010s. Yuyu Yayahara and Squad 7 Lieutenant Atau, the latter of which is deaf, which is a mildly interesting character trait, all slay several of these beasts.So I'm a huge fan of Bleach and was very excited to see that Viz Media was releasing a 20th anniversary edition of the manga. While the one-shot does initially pick up with Ichigo and Orihime’s son, Kazui, before shifting over to Rukia and Renji’s daughter, Ichika, it does a good job of balancing out these new characters with a number of characters that we’re all more familiar with.

On September 11, 2022, it was announced that the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War OP theme song music “Scar” will be performed by Tatsuya Kitani, while the ED “Saihate” will be performed by SennaRin. They even teased audiences by talking about Americans watching Bleach, but there was no Disney+ confirmation or any specific streaming plans mentioned!

The setting takes place twelve years after the Blood War and two years following the events of the last chapter. As part of the Bleach 20th anniversary celebration, the franchise has new exciting projects and perks for the fans. This is your typical shonen manga with flashy fight scenes an nonchalant protagonist who gets stronger each fight. Things do go a bit awry, as Bleach fans will be well aware of, when a number of Hollows-like creatures show up. The monster design is quite disturbing, and the focus on exorcising ghosts inevitably leads the book to confrontations with death and berevement.

Marking the 20th Anniversary of Nirvana’s debut album, Sub Pop re-issued the Platinum Certified Bleach on November 3, 2009. Technology has advanced inside the world of Bleach, and Rukia’s reaction was very in character for her.Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 17, 2021 reported that Bleach Season 17 will adapt the Thousand-Year Blood War story arc from the Bleach manga series by creator Tite Kubo, which means the anime will finish adapting the Bleach manga’s ending. How and when the new arc will appear in unknown but it certainly seems like it’s in the works… weird! It is possible that the release date of the anime adaptation of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be included in the announcements this coming March 21, 2020. On October 3, 2022, VIZ Media officially announced that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be available to English-speaking fans in the United States on Hulu USA whereas the episodes will be streaming internationally on Disney+. Sadly upon reading this volume I discovered that the only difference between the original and 20th anniversary edition is the cover.
