Frankly, I don’t think I’m the right kind of person to write a review of this book--I’m a big crystal skeptic. People who believe in the power of crystals clearly find this book indispensable, and I am glad they have a book they love. As a lover of jewelry and a collector of beautiful natural objects, I have always admired crystals and minerals, and the taxonomist in me loves to read about how they are classified and related to each other. As a generally symbolic thinker, I also love to learn the associations that we humans give to various types of stone. Over the heads of the living creatures the likeness of an expanse was spread out. Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers(22) The likeness of the firmament.--The word rendered "firmament" has undoubtedly originated, etymologically, from a verb originally signifying to beat out, as in the case of metals; but the derivative word, in its use in connection with the heavens, had wholly lost this reference, and had come to mean simply an expanse. The Hebrews do not appear to have ever entertained the classical idea of the sky as a metallic vault, the only passage seeming to indicate such a notion ( Job 37:18) being capable of quite a different explanation. We are here to conceive, therefore, of that which was "stretched forth over their heads above" as a simple expanse, like the sky, as if he had said, "And above their heads was stretched forth the sky." This expanse is not represented as supported by the cherubim, or resting upon them, and it remained undisturbed when they let down their wings ( Ezekiel 1:25). It was simply "stretched forth over their heads," at once separating them from, and yet uniting them with, the throne above. It fulfils, therefore, the complementary part to the wheels. They connected the vision with the earth; this connects it with God. Now stretched over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, looking like the terrible and awesome shimmer of icy crystal.
I'm not trying to convince anyone here that you should work with crystals. I would just like to open some minds. It has been around for years, as Melody wrote a series of books, and these are all normal sized, except maybe a little fatter. You have to buy the companion guide to get the photos of the crystals.
Using the energy of crystals for healing yourself is about finding a way to enhance conventional medicine not replace it. So always seek out medical treatment for any worrying health issue. Collecting crystals and Christianity, is it wrong?If the authors of crystal books are not always completely in agreement about how to use a crystal, it allows you to understand that each of you have the ability to decide what you feel about the attributes of a particular stone. And a likeness is over the heads of the living creatures of an expanse, as the colour of the fearful ice, stretched out over their heads from above.

This is not the same book as above, and some people buy it thinking it is the big encyclopedia above, but it is not, and does not have the illustrations that the big encyclopedia has.
