About this deal

He uses his own experience to reset your outlook and goals in life, and helps you to see what success really looks like. Smith operates an online personal training business named "James Smith Academy," which creates online training plans for users. He claims that his new book – which is released on the 1st of September this year – is his best one yet. The type of a person, who constantly compares themselves to others and feels like a failure, especially when scrolling through Instagram profiles of fitness influencers. Time to stop sleep-walking through your life; to challenge the status quo; and to truly ask yourself if you’re on the right path to success, happiness and fulfilment.

Anyway, so I followed him for a while, and then I joined his academy, and was rocking it, but I'm a lazy wagon-falling bitch and so this is my kickstart to get back on that freaking wagon and ride it into the sunset. Health is an important topic for the masses and it needs to be addressed, but it's a PERSONAL topic for the individual. That's why this book is so good at delivering its message, and it can apply to anyone as an individual.James Smith is back to challenge everything you thought you knew about the path to fulfilment and happiness. Thanks to James, I can now continue my fitness journey to avoid the dangerous hereditary medical conditions that have wracked my family.

And they make the program ever more "simple" by taking all of the education and information out of it so you must rely on them for it to work. The subject matter and the person reading work hand in hand to keep my focus peaked though so I'm fully engaged, but with this book, my focus drifted back and forth and I had to rewind to see what I missed, to which I say wasn't much. I’ve got a lot to digest from this book, but one key thing for sure is the power of NEAT and you’ll bet I’ll be standing up a lot more on the tube going forward and allowing myself those sweet treats I always crave in the evening.

After the introduction, I felt a sense of guilt putting the book down (for those who have read it, you understand why! In his own crude and vulgar way James Smith goes about dismantling a locker rooms worth of fitness and health myths. All of the information that you've read and looked at and listened to over the years, all the information overload and over complicated explanations about how to lose fat and look fit are simplified here. I quite liked James' approach - it's straightforward, easy to implement, relies on teaching people to get back to basics and stop looking for miracle cures to being overweight. For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password.

James’ bestselling books, ‘ Not a Diet Book’ and ‘ Not a Life Coach’ are published by Harper Collins. to learn what your daily energy expenditure and calorie needs look like, and then work with those numbers to create a sensible, reasonable deficit that will result in losing fat. So thus far, this book is exactly the same as the majority of other diet books over the last 30 years. I wasn't disappointed, it give a lot of valuable information about nutrition, physiology and training all of which I found very useful and will begin to implement. Honest, unapologetic and outspoken, yet erudite, authentic and endlessly passionate about exposing the toxic myths within diet culture, and committed to helping people to reach their goals and make positive change for good.It gives you most of the basics and even gives you some important points from other non-fiction books like Matthew Walker’s Why We Sleep. You can overconsume on the weekend if you wish, but then divide what’s left by 5 for the days in the week and you’ll be surprised by how low it is. Go to the gym, eat healthier, walk 10,000 steps a day, eat less of that product, do upside-down jumping jacks while drinking celery water, etc.

The health of the masses is an important topic on any given day, but with the plethora of 'fitness gurus' that exist down the street or on the socials or on TV, many of them miss the point here. Then a chapter dedicated to the author's rather unremarkable life story, and currently running through a chapter on why the different main stream diets don't work. Getting into shape and losing weight takes work and a healthy commitment to maintenance, and the same goes for relationships. A fantastic book for inspiration and motivation when it comes to fitness, food, females and fat loss. However; I found out very fast that even though he wrote the words, it sounded like forcing a 12 year old to go read in front of his class.
