About this deal

This buildable play-and-display set helps to develop the imaginative and creative skills of Marvel movie fans aged 7 and up. Overall, Bro Thor’s New Asgard is an incredible set for it’s price-range and pieces number, you get a lot of fantastic design for your money with this one. This is probably one of my favourite small sets in 2021, and will truly delight and satisfy LEGO Marvel Super Heroes fans. It’s incredulous that LEGO actually turned the New Asgard scene into the set, AND gave us a Bro Thor minifigure with his belly and all.

Korg first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor: Ragnarok. He’s wearing his Hawaiian print casual outfit with headphones from the Endgame movie. This Korg minifigure in vacation clothes is great. Even without knowing who Korg is, he would be an amusing tourist visiting Earth in any vacation scene you choose. Miek Once again begging the review team to find something to say about Lego products besides "accurate" and "corresponds precisely". I can see that the set looks like what occurs in the movie by looking at it. I would like to hear some actual opinions on the model."

As a Marvel set, it often comes down to new characters and minifigures, and both Korg and Bro Thor do not disappoint. I would’ve liked a slightly more accurate Miek (a modified baby would be hilarious), but it was probably too cost-prohibitive to justify an all-new element or mould. The star of the show, however, is Bro Thor, the topless, casual pants wearing, overweight alcoholic God of Thunder we meet in the latter half of Avengers: Endgame. I honestly believe I could hand this minifigure to anyone who has seen Endgame without context, and they’ll know who this figure is. It’s perfect….well almost. Korg rarely appears without Miek and this interesting character is accordingly available here. This design is undoubtedly simple, comprising a decorated minifigure head and two lavender flowers which represent the alien's stubby limbs. However, this figure appears quite charming and the printed head looks marvellous, incorporating Miek's insectoid eyes. Will end this review with a match-made-in-heaven mashup of Bro Thor and Korg, hanging out in Joey and Chandler’s apartment! Miek (the scissor alien dude) is in his larval form is technically not a minifig, but we’ll let him hang as he’s cool.

The shirtless torso definitely does a great job of portraying this less battle-hardened version of Thor, with simple outlines showing off his chest and portly belly. Sadly, the printing which continues the bottom of the stomach on to the legs piece isn’t the same colour and that definitely lets the minifigure down somewhat.I have to pinch myself that this is not just an actual set, but LEGO also manage to sneak in a keg of beer. Further disappointment sadly, as we move to the legs piece, it’s a single beige coloured piece with no printing at all, despite the movie version of the character sporting shorts in the scene this figure is modelled from. When there are plenty of examples of dual moulded legs from other minifigures across multiple themes, this again, seems lazy.

LEGO components are dropped, heated, crushed, twisted and analysed to make sure they fulfil rigorous global safety standards.

Bro Thor is the highlight of the set for me. He has a new dual-sided print for his torso, and an exclusive leg print. His face and hair are new for 2021, matching Thor’s appearance in other Infinity Saga sets. Treat Marvel Avengers and Thor fans to imaginative roleplay fun based around Thor’s amazing New Asgard home. Finally, we don’t often note the spares, but here they’re worth highlighting: more pizza and headphones, among others. — Characters — Give kids the best in imaginative play and creative display with LEGO Marvel Bro Thor’s New Asgard (76200). This multifaceted set lets young super heroes aged 7 and up relive scenes from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame movie and play out amazing adventures of their own. The set doesn’t look like much from the outside, and we’d have to wonder why anyone would display it this way when all the details are on the inside. That said, the messy mix of materials isn’t actually out of place for the buildings in New Asgard.

Anyway. Once the walls are up, the rest of the set dressing can happen. There are tons of little things to catch your eye, ranging from a dark blue micro-fig trophy (that in my head-cannon is a Captain America action figure), a pitchfork, a model ship, an oar, and a wealth of bottles and pizza boxes. Speaking of Stormbreaker, that’s also included in the set with the same build as its other appearances, such as in 76193 The Guardians’ Ship and 76192 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle. Its position in the corner makes it hard for Thor to carelessly pop caps off bottles with it like he does in the movie, but you can create your own scenes with it. The exterior of the home isn’t neglected, either. The door has a small stone stoop with round tile “stones” adding texture. There's a massive cultural difference between American and European views on alcohol. In Denmark you can buy yourself a beer aged 16. Exposing children to alcohol is really not as big a deal as in the US. I can't see how depicting beer in a set (in a way that doesn't explicitly say it is beer) could be equated with changing policy on military vehicles? Like any Marvel set, the characters are truly the star of the set, and Bro Thor’s New Asgard comes with 2 exclusive minifigures – Bro Thor, with his beer belly, and the debut of the Korg minifigure which has been a long time coming.

And yes, Thor’s alternate face has his eyes lit up with lightning, because “This is the ideal make body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.” Super Heroes sets traditionally prioritise action and conflict. 76200 Bro Thor's New Asgard has abandoned that convention though, containing Thor alongside Korg and Miek! These delightful characters maintain notable popularity and the minifigures appear impressive.
