About this deal

Suitability - The Pro Breeze 30L Dehumidifier is ideal for preventing damp, mould, moisture, condensation, etc. It can be used anywhere in the home, including garages, bathrooms, basements, and more. The unit isn't the lightest or most compact we've tested, but then we wouldn't expect that from a machine this powerful. However, built-in wheels, a retractable carry handle, and cable tidy make it easier to move around the house and store neatly away when it's not in use. Large Water Tank: The large 3L water tank triggers an auto shut-off once full. Use the continuous drainage hose included for uninterrupted use.

It's also important not to confuse the extraction rate with a dehumidifiers water tank capacity. As both are generally measured in litres or millilitres this can sometimes cause confusion. Drainage - There are two ways of managing the water extracted by the dehumidifier. It can go in the 3 litre water tank which can then be emptied when it's full. It can also be connected to the included drainage tube, allowing for uninterrupted and continuous water drainage. Note that the appliance automatically shuts off when the tank is full. However, it's not perfect. A powerful extraction rate of 20L, plus that Laundry boost mode, means higher running costs. This dehumidifier guzzles 440W of energy compared to the 20L MeacoDry Arete One's 216W. What the Pro Breeze 20L Premium does offer is a more generous water tank of 5.5L compared to the 20L MeacoDry Arete One's 4.8L, although in practice we didn't find ourselves emptying the MeacoDry that much more frequently. Cost 11p /hour To Run: Our energy-efficient dehumidifier has been designed to automatically shut off once it has reached your desired humidity level. However, thePro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier does win on price, coming in a fair bit cheaper than the MeacoDry Arete One.Reduce Clothing Drying Time: A great way to absorb moisture in the air when drying your clothes. Offering a reliable & cost-effective boost to all your laundry-drying needs Free Smart App & Digital Control Panel: View your room’s current humidity, set a target humidity and select from 3 operating modes. If you're wondering how to get rid of mould in a poorly ventilated room, or trying to combat excess moisture or humidity inside the home, then a dehumidifier can be a useful tool in your arsenal.

During our testing process we found it really easy to use and operate, and our reviewer loved the Smart App connectivity (something few dehumidifiers offer) as it gave her a lot more control over how she could use the machine, saying 'the in-App experience is fantastic, the menus are really clear, and changing the settings is simple'. Overall, this is a best-in-class dehumidifier that does a fantastic job of extracting moisture from the home and is one of the best dehumidifier for drying washing fast. Costs as little as 19 p/hour to run: Our energy-efficient dehumidifier has been designed to automatically shut off once it has reached your desired humidity level. With its promise of premium quality, I was keen to see what features the ProBreeze has. Overall, I'd say that the spec of this product really does hold water (and not just in the literal sense). Amongst its many functions, the ProBreeze has the following features:

Summary

Built-in Humidistat: Measures the ambient room humidity and automatically targets and reaches your desired humidity level – we suggest anywhere between 30-80%. Overall, it's not the most powerful dehumidifier you can buy, and it can't cope with high moisture levels – we found it made little difference when drying wet washing for example. However, it did a great job of clearing condensation on windows and managing moisture levels in a small bedroom when left running overnight.

The alternative is a Peltier dehumidifier, which, although not specified, is likely the method the Silentnight 39899 600ml Dehumidifier uses. In contrast to a compressor dehumidifier, a Peltier dehumidifier uses a far quieter thermo-electric process to extract moisture from the air. Unlike a compressor dehumidifier that passes air over a cold coil to condense the water from it, a desiccant dehumidifier uses a 'desiccant chemical' to absorb the moisture from the air. As a result, desiccant dehumidifiers are the best option for rooms that are likely to fall below 15°c, as at lower temperatures compressor and Peltier models can struggle to work efficiently. So, if you’re after the smallest dehumidifier on the market, we think the Russell Hobbs RHDH1061G wins the accolade of best small dehumidifier, with good all round performance for its size housed in one of the smallest builds on the market – along as you don't expect too much from that 0.3L extraction rate. Intelligent and powerful, the Pro Breeze 30L High-Capacity Smart Dehumidifier is great at removing dampness, humidity, window condensation and mould build-up in medium to large spaces including your home, office, garage, workshop or attic. The dehumidifier is fitted with an intelligent smartphone app, allowing you to control your dehumidifier from anywhere. The De'Longhi Tascuigo AriaDry DEX216F is the largest model in the range and able to extract 16L of water from the air per day, and although the tank capacity isn't the largest, at 2.1L it still offers adequate capacity. This multi-purpose appliance also has an air purifier function with a double filtration system that can remove dust and other allergens from the air, plus a dedicated Laundry Drying function. Energy Saving - For optimal performance with regards to energy, the unit should run in temperatures between 5 and 32 degrees Celsius.

If you’re looking for a small dehumidifier, then the Russell Hobbs RHDH1061G Portable Dehumidifier is about as compact as it gets, measuring just H22 x W14 x D14cm and weighing in at 0.9kg.Pre-ProBreeze, our home office was practically uninhabitable at times with damp walls collecting mould and condensation. But after one week of introducing the ProBreeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier we've experienced a marked improvement. There is visibly less dampness, a palpable freshness to the air, and crucially, dry floors and walls. Overall, if you can put up with its increased noise volume and absorb the higher running costs, we think thePro Breeze 20L Premium Dehumidifier with Special Laundry Modeis a good buy. It's definitely the best dehumidifier for drying clothes that we've tested, and anything that makes wet-weather laundry days easier is a win in our books.
