I love it so much in winter/fall for nostalgic reasons, but it's totally safe even on the hot days of summer... it serves exactly like Mancera Lemon Oud Mints, a totally different scent profile, but still a very successful classy light oud and citruses fragrance + in this fragrance some nice wearable leather that suits all seasons and all occasions. EDIT: After a few uses it longer smells like DLO. I now find it too harsh for my liking. And I still do not get the any of Tom Ford Leathers references in my bottle. There is a bit of sweetness that softens this leather fragrance and makes it truly unisex. The longevity is incredible, and the sillage projects further over the course of the day rather than dissipating.

I bought this 2 years ago, and the performance was good and satisfying at 7 to 8 hours, but now the performance has improved big time! Very impressive; it projects for 4+ hours and lasts 10+ hours on my skin. I can smell it on me all the time; it wasn't like that before HOLY maceration!🕯🙏 I thought maceration was just a myth! 10/10 A call to action is heralding the rich smoky tones of the dark wood and mysterious deep ambery notes that follow. Perception dissolves in the final celebration of the soft musky notes, leaving the hot, heady aroma of a successful conquest lingering on the skin. While it is unisex id say men can wear this during day time summer while women can go for it during nighttime, because I feel like it doesn't have the woody "darkness" or masculine playfulness of clean fragrance like other nighttime fragrances for men, so during a date or clubbing this can be easily overpowered or thought of as immature by your date. Which is right for you? Ask yourself if you value a more well-blended clone (Velvet Oud), or one that's louder with heavier leather (Rare Carbon). You can't go wrong with either one, but this is also cheaper than Rare Carbon. I also have the O.G. Ombre Leather in my collection and honestly, I think I'll sell it and keep the two clones. I wear it after a shower or I layer it with darker fragrances... I believe this goes very well with deep dark scents.

Many here compare VO to either Tom Ford's Ombre Leather or Tuscan Leather, and while it no doubt shares qualities and notes of both, neither best describe VO overall. VO is truly its own fragrance: Whereas both Tom Ford's leather fragrances are darker, more animalic, heavier in the air, and thus more sophisticated, VO exhibits a lighter/dryer and less animalic leather, is a relatively lighter and airier fragrance overall; being a generally more wearable scent owing to these qualities along with its somewhat brighter citrus-fruity essence. Hence, VO's "wider" versatility range--for both potential occasions and apparel--is a noticeable strength in comparison to TL, OL and numerous other men's leather fragrances. Consequently, VO wears extremely well for nearly all occasions from dressy-casual to formal. (This versatility and the scent's relatively universal appeal has made this my "go to" leather fragrance; one that I can see wearing for many years to come). While LO is smoother in its opening, this opens very rough, but settles in soon enough. The leather (again like LO) is smooth & hard and this Hard Leather + Oud combination brings a certain pungency (similar to LO) where the Oud isn't forefront, and also a richness that for some reason I associate with horse riding. Velvet Oud (VO) touches on all the major points of LO: leather, spicy, patchouli & oud, but like many clones also overdoes the patchouli. I remember the patchouli in Oud for Glory nuked everything but here it's "only" atomic. VO is a heady mix of sweaty leather & spice. I have Tom Ford ombre leather and I didn't know this was so close to it, like they can easily pass as each other. It is a bit lighter and sweeter somehow but in no way too much. Its a lovely scent.Perfume Velvet Oud Eau de Parfum by Lattafa Perfumes is a velvety perfume with incense, noble Oud, golden amber, and sensual musk. For me this is a manly leather but not a beast mode clubbing juice. It's more of a nice casual or suit & tie fragrance for an upscale wine bar, weddings, or work. I don't think it will offend many people or overpower a room. The smell is nice and performance seems in line with a high quality Eau De Parfum. Projection and Sillage are maybe 3 feet for 1-2 hours and longevity is maybe 6-8 hours. That's in line with my expectations for a gentlemanly fragrance. Very affordable...I just don't like to say cheap...YES, price-wise yes it is cheap!..the fragrance itself feels valuable.. good quality. I couldn't have been more wrong and happier about it. Its a leather mixed with a bit of florals and citruses it smells amazing. With a generous amount of 100 ml, you will have plenty of this seductive scent that will last all day. Without the cap the bottle looks gorgeous ..polished simple ..nice in the hand...it's not a very bad cap though. It starts on skin a bit like a mix between Velvet Desert Oud and Tuscan Leather, but as it dries, it's absolutely a clone of Ombre Leather. Lattafa Velvet Oud is a fragrance that opens with energizing oud fragrance with oriental notes. The fragrance has the best answer to the other alternatives, and the perfume is Unisex. It’s the perfume you can fall in love with the first smell.

I really wanted to love it, but after about 3 hours, it became cloying and even nauseating because it was still so strong, and the smell of it remained the same as it was after the initial drydown rather than evolving over time. After about 5 hours, I had to scrub it off my skin (which lessened the smell but did not remove I) and change my clothes to get away from it. As for being a Tuscan Leather clone, I don't get that at all. There's no raspberry or any fruit note at all. There's no floral stuff going on. They don't share anything beyond a high quality leather experience. And they certainly don't have price in common. Lattafa's Velvet Oud boasts a remarkably authentic leather note, accompanied by hints of smoky amber and incense-infused agarwood. It’s smokey, woody and musky, with gloomy tones of leather coming through. The leather is the crucial actor, and I would describe this as a subtle oud. It is not original or unique, as it smells like many other leather things I have, but I love it. Longevity isn't bad but not good on my skin either, I get 3-4 hours on it, medium sillage, but that's not too bad considering even powerhouses like dior elixir or the amouage interlude man last max 6-7 hours on my skin no matter what season. On clothes I sprayed it and I could get traces of it the next day on that t-shirt. I'm pleased I only bought a decant instead of a whole bottle. This is a no for me, but given the insane longevity and respectable sillage, it might be an incredible bargain for someone else.
