About this deal

As a vacuum cleaner – some leaf blowers have a reverse setting and vacuum attachment – even more useful for cleaning the car and tidying garden debris! With a variable-speed engine, and available ‘cruise control’ function, you can simply switch between more and less powerful settings depending on the task’s requirements; working carefully around flower beds or more intensely on tarmac as necessary. Cleaning your gutters – I frequently use a leaf blower to clear all the leaves and garden debris from my gutters. A blower makes this a simple job. Just make sure no one is standing below you when you do this as they could get a nasty surprise and a covering of wet, mouldy leaves.

Drain any old fuel remaining in your leaf blower and fill it with a fresh gas and oil mix. Add a fuel stabilizer like Sea Foam Motor Treatment to stabilize the fuel, clean the fuel system and reduce moisture in the fuel. The carburetor regulates the amount of fuel that is mixed with air to create combustion in the cylinder. Old fuel will gum up and clog the carburetor so it no longer functions as designed.

The worse thing you can do to a RYOBI leaf blower is to add straight gas to the fuel tank. The blower requires a gas and oil mix. Without the right amount of oil added to the gas, the fuel will run very dry through the engine and cause it to seize. The fuel tank vent allows air into the tank. Without a vent, the fuel tank will create a vacuum that won’t allow fuel to leave your RYOBI fuel tank. This 26 cc McCulloch petrol blower is equipped with both a vacuum and blow function. It comes with a 45 L vacuum bag (one of the largest on this list) and it also has the capacity to mulch leaves at a radio of 16:1. Tidying leaves – ok, so this is obviously but certainly had to be included in the list; however, there are plenty of other uses…! Yes, this Makita petrol leaf blower is more expensive than some other petrol blowers, but the extra money gets you a compact and powerful machine as well as a 4-stroke engine that ultimately cuts down on fuel consumption and releases fewer emissions (compared to a two-stroke engine).

You get a choice of blower tube – one with an open end for more general clearing, and one with a tapered nozzle for blowing leaves in a more controlled way. Whilst some petrol-powered machines can be difficult to get going, the Parker Petrol Leaf Blower is as reliable to start as it is powerful. And with a 65 cc engine, it’s certainly very powerful. Leaf blowers are versatile tools that can be used in many different ways. Here’s a list of suggestions for when a leaf blower can come in handy:The engine can become flooded when the choke is in the closed position and the starter rope was pulled many times. It can also happen with the switch off and the starter rope being pulled multiple times or when the primer bulb is pushed too many times.
