About this deal

You can adjust where you place this rubber mod to give the brake pedal a few different sensations. You can place it towards the base of the pedal if you prefer a long brake pedal. This will give you a slight increase in resistance as you near the end of the brake travel.

Unlike other pedals which utilize cheap load cells originally designed for use in a postal scale, the load cell in the LC3 upgrade kit is a medical-grade load cell designed to withstand much higher loads at faster response times. The load cell is designed to have an unlimited life cycle and the accompanying components are designed to be equally as robust. With the Pro pedals you can hinge the pedals from the top, rather than the bottom. This gives an even closer representation of a real road car. But this comes at an extra cost.

The T3PA is relatively standard fare in terms of sim racing pedals, if not at the higher-end of said classification. While the set is always going to be used in the F1 (standard) position, the array of tweaks and mods on offer allow for considerable customization. Furthermore, the archetypal design does extend to aesthetics, and equates to a truly classic design that doesn’t stand out nor offend. Overall, when compared to the two pedal set, the T3PA pedals do ooze a much more professional quality. We would say that almost any two pedal setup isn’t ideal, but this jump from the two pedals to the three feels rather more significant. This allows you to run a closer brake and throttle pedal for heel and toe downshifting, if that’s your style. One of the key improvements of the T3PA pedals, once you’ve looked past the third pedal, is the inclusion of a brake mod. This optional brake mod changes how the brake pedal reacts, and adds a slightly more realistic feel to the pedal progression. We’ll look at this in more detail further in to this review. The T500RS had a spring based brake pedal, which allowed you to stiffen the brake pedal by installing a spring mod.

The pedals themselves offer a huge amount of customization. This is possibly our favorite part of the pedals. You can adjust the spacing between each pedal by mounting the pedal plate in one of three locations. As I just mentioned, you can also adjust the angle of each pedal, which is a lovely touch. By rotating the mounting support behind each pedal you can add an increased incline to each pedal.

Drawing on its know-how and technological expertise, Thrustmaster develops products—flight simulation peripherals, headsets, and controllers—designed to offer extremely accurate gameplay, providing a completely immersive experience with optimal realism across numerous platforms. This rubber mod fits directly behind the brake pedal to offer a much more realistic, progressive resistance. This come in to play the harder you push the pedal, giving you more resistance the closer you get to 100% pressure.

The most important consideration when using any pedals – in games or in real life – is functionality, and both of these sets are built to function well for a long time. The improved design of the Pro model can’t be denied, but the standard set is nothing to scoff at in this regard. The footrest features an almost industrial style metal grip plate. And quite honestly, we really dig it. It looks hefty and it isn’t as slippery as you may think from first impressions.Mr Watton is imo opinion one of the greatest content channels you may not have heard of, here he shows how to calibrate the Thrustmaster T3PA PRO. The work within the community and his support to others is always represented. Here is a fine example to help those with the Thrustmaster T3PA PRO pedals with an issue he had. So following that Mr Watton goes into great detail on how to calibrate and set up the software for these pedals. Thrustmaster’s latest pedal set doesn’t stop there: it also includes two removable mods, which can be installed directly underneath the brake pedal. We would definitely recommend installing this rubber cone, as it dramatically increases the performance and feeling of the brake. Over time you will be able to brake more consistently and realistically, than you could without it. But despite not being able to compete with a true loadcell brake. The T3PA-Pro conical brake is almost, almost there. It adds a new dimension in terms of braking quality compared to other Thrustmaster solutions. And it should be your go to setup for a Thrustmaster pedal set.
