Being battery it is much quieter than my mains one so it's much better when using at un-sociable hours!! Again, this is no problem at all for the jobs it’s intended for – spraying your bike over for a couple of minutes, or walking around your garden furniture spraying away bird droppings when needed – but a regular Kärcher in undeniably more ergonomic for an hour-long task.

I'm quite pleased with my KHB5 but I knew what to expect before buying, if you are expecting similar power as to a standard power washer then you will be disappointed! The Kärcher KHB 5 swaps that power cable for a removable battery. With up to 10 minutes use and enough pressure to clean most tasks around the house, the KHB 5 is the perfect household machine. With 5 different spray modes in one single lance, you can select the perfect setting for all your outdoor cleaning tasks, from stubborn dirt to gentle watering. Cleaning performance: The KHB 5 does well with stains, managing to clean up our patio and garden furniture nicely – but super-tough stains will require a powered cleaner. The 10-minute run-time is good enough for a single job, but recharging takes too long. Featuring an 18v interchangeable Lithium-Ion battery, the KHB 5 Multi Jet features innovative Real Time technology to display the remaining battery run time, battery capacity & charging level communicated via the LCD battery display. This conveniently keeps users fully aware of their battery status & when the battery requires recharging. spray output settings featured provided by MJ24 MultiJet lance, ideal for majoirty of cleaning tasksSize, weight and manoeuvrability: Weighing in at 2.6kg, the Karcher KHB 5 Multi Jet needs to be held in two hands for comfortable use. In the right position, the battery-powered device is easy to move around since there’s no base unit to contend with. As you can see above, it still makes a huge difference and gets a lot of the gunk off, but it was visibly not quite clean compared to what the wired one achieved – and, as we say, the wired one did it faster and more comfortably.

The level of pressure is sufficient for you to feel the washer in action, but you don’t get the full impact and force of a powered pressure washer. For big areas or much tougher stains, the jet from the Karcher KHB 5 Multi Jet isn’t going to cut it.There’s no way to add detergent into the system, although you can use spray cleaners on furniture, bikes and patios to give you a helping hand to break down tougher stains. interchangeable Lithim Ion battery - convenient cordless cleaning with additional batteries available for increased runtime

Where this unit becomes a little bit more difficult to sell is that it take 290 minutes to fully charge the battery, from which you only get 10 minutes of run time.
