About this deal

The stems, which look like a modified candle element have a little stalk that curve upwards which is pretty neat. I’m not sure if it’s an entirely new sign, or if it’s a reproduction of the one from 1999’s Road Signs set, but it’s always nice to come across printed parts. Both vehicles are great, City-scale and feel especially relevant to the build – not like random vehicles shoehorned in for play features or to bump up the piece counts of set.

Interestingly, these parts in this colour configuration were previously used like this in a 2020 Employee Gift set. There is one thing I noticed regarding the ASDA Stickers, they aren’t official LEGO ones, meaning they lacked the small trademark print along the bottom. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. s Road Plate parking lot to other LEGO playsets for extended play, and the 5 minifigures include LEGO City Adventures TV series character Mr. There’s a license plate with the set’s number, and the letters JM, which I believe are the designer’s initial.Contact Us LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure, and the Brick and Knob configurations are trademarks of the LEGO Group of Companies. As you'll see in the small amount of spare parts, for better or worse, the set lacks small details overall, though larger parts can mean it feels like you get more money's worth from fewer parts. Looking closely at the sash around the box I carefully placed the ASDA branded stickers onto the set. Here’s a look at their back printing – only the forklift driver and Pea Mascot have dual-sided faces.

All kids need to create a toy supermarket, EV and forklift truck, plus a LEGO® Road Plate and 5 minifigures, including LEGO City Adventures TV series character Mr.

Unforfortunately, the foot does not rotate and has a fixed orientation, but can swivel back and forth just like a regular leg. That said, the large variety of produce, sustainable elements like solar panels, and bottle recycling station, and the inclusion of the very first LEGO minifigure with a modern prosthetic leg make for a toy that is not only fun to play with, but educational as well. I guess LEGO Citizens looked across town to Heartlake City, and wanted some of that utopian quality of life, and all the amenities that you’d expect from an urban metropolis. The breaks between bags seem rather random, and it felt like I was adding a few parts over here and then over there and then back over here. The forklift is perhaps a little heftier than LEGO forklifts of old, but looks great and can accommodate a minifigure sitting or standing, given the tall roll cage originally introduced in Power Miners.

They add a lot of valuable play features to the set, and kids will absolutely enjoy playing with the forklift. Here’s a look at the facade, which is bright and vibrant with 2 shades of green, and I love the massive brick-built carrot on the outside, as well as the “fresh” logo. There's also a waste/recycling element (the bottle processing) which could necessitate the use of yet another large truck to move. On the whole, I sill feel like I did with the school: this set has to much road, and not enough building.

Fun fact, this is the very first LEGO prosthetic leg that’s a left leg – all previous prosthesis, from peg legs, to mechanical legs on Doctor Rodney Rathbone from Monster Fighters. You get a great selection, which includes apples, bananas, grapes, carrots and also 2 brand new ears of corn! At least when I decide to build a version of it, it won't be hard to put together a version of it I like, since most parts are fairly readily available, and those that aren't can either be skipped or substituted (for example I never use blue glass). Real life schools have lots of different types of zones: entrance halls, classrooms, locker hallways, etc.

Overall, there is quite a lot of value despite the set having only 404 parts - value in the parts, and importantly, lots and lots of play value.Produce, a named character from LEGO City Adventures, a pea costume mascot promoting vegetables, and a little girl. The quality is OK and the adhesive seems to be roughly the same, perfect to reposition if necessary. Approaching with the forklift, a crate can be slotted through the yellow and black striped technic parts which do a fantastic job emulating one of those ubiquitous plastic-strip barriers between spaces. The sign on the cash machine is placed over multiple stickers, which isn’t something that you would usually see in a LEGO set, though as long you’re not taking them two curved pieces apart, it shouldn’t be a problem.
