Now some people might think initially, "that's granny's smell" or "nursing home shit" but it is certainly not that at all. Aramis 900 is much more in the vein of Paloma Picasso, Knowing, Coty Chypre, or even Magie Noire than Aromatics Elixir to my nose. It is however rather a generic scent “signature” as has been around for so long I guess it has mingled with so many other popular scents over time, thus lost its uniqueness.

When I put it on my skin I get this beautiful musty curtain that the more living heart components have to break through. Rounding off with a sensual base of sandalwood, amber, patchouli and civet, this long-lasting fragrance is timeless and classic.My Dad had this fragrance several years ago and when I saw the older vintage bottle of this in his cabinet, I had to try it out. Aramis 900 by Aramis opens open with herbal garden of green accords, coriander, rosewood with sparkling lemon and bergamot. Said that, the rest of the composition is a great floral-spicy chypre with a remarkable patchouli note.

I think think it's good value for money when you consider this is handmade and you would easily spend a lot more on a much cheaper bottle of off the shelf aftershave.Personalised advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of information under California and other state privacy laws, and you may have a right to opt out. As an added note, many of my purchases have been from the big online auction site, and I always choose those sellers with very high ratings. I do not think it's dated, for the simple reason that I think it was quite brave to put out such a rose dominant juice in the early 70's, specially for men. On the whole comes across as classic, and I guess that this would appeal more to those of a slightly more mature olfactory sense.
