Using an eighteen dart clip may cause some discomfort, due to the way clips are horizontally fed into the blaster. Hasbro has done a great job designing this blaster, and you shouldn’t have any problems with this one. Just be wary that sometimes you might need to use 2 hands, but only if your hands are on the smaller side.

The mount for the magazine, which is on the left side, is the only durability problem. As with the raider, it's a separate piece that snaps on. It is possible to slightly loosen it if you bump it while a long magazine is in there, e.g. the drum it comes with or one of the excellent 18rd clips they now sell. If it gets bumped hard enough, you will have a jam until you re-seat it in its proper position. In 2015, a variant was released with Elite XD range claims, and featured a color scheme very similar to the original blaster, with notably fewer paint operations.

Pretty much every time we load the blaster, at least one of the foam bullets jam, which either means popping the clip fully and digging around inside the chamber with your fingers, or trying to force it through the motorized mechanism for a weaker shot.
